Adelén may not have won Norsk Melodi Grand Prix but she won a career that has gone from strength to strength.

Now in an interview with NordPop.Com, the Norwegian-Spanish songstress stated that she would definitely try to represent Spain at Eurovision if the opportunity arose and she couldn’t rule out trying to represent Norway again.

Don’t get too hyped though: girl is waaaaay too busy at the moment and has multiple projects in the work that are taking up all her time (#megasadface).

Her big dream is to appear live at the MTV awards and she also stated she’s seeking to create her own musical identity that sounds distinctly Adelén.

As well as appearing on the World Cup soundtrack for Brazil 2014 and releasing new single ‘Always On My Mind’, Adelén has been busy this summer touring and with such a busy calendar it’s little surprise that national selections for Eurovision are the last thing on her mind.

You can watch Adelén perform Olé live at Allsang på grensen below:

I remember that she wanted to represent Spain in 2013 (same year Margaret won) and she asked TVE about the national final… Our dear public television said her that ESDM was their choice ¬¬

With Adelen probably top10
With ESDM we were 25

France did well with Allez Ola Ole, although they had one of the best stagings ESC has seen for that genre. So I mean, it could be a formula for 11th-12th place, but it would be unlikely to see them go any higher. Especially because Spain usually insists on lyrics in Spanish, which the televoters continue to resist (unless the country is Romania). If Adelen comes through with a good enough song, they could do at least as well as Cyprus did in 2012 with a ridiculously good dance track (remembering that even this wasn’t the highest position, however). Still,… Read more »

Can’t stand her after getting blocked from her Facebook page saying I’m one of her Biggest fans from Gibraltar, seems that she prefers politics more than fans who support her. Now leaving politics aside yes she has really good songs but if she wants to represent any country she should get working on her live vocals

There are way too many Spanish artists able to do the same crappy music she’s been doing … no need for her to represent Spain. Then … is this the only kind of music this girl does? I mean … hasn’t she learned the expression “step out of the box”? Or is she only doing this cheesy dancy latin crap because …there are too many Eurovision fans distracted by the beat and totally not paying attention to her vocals? She’s been lucky then…

Even though Spain had only success with (power)ballads in the last couple of years, I would love to see some contemporary, catchy, dance pop song for Spain with great performance…

The only way that Spain would place high in Eurovision is that they should send POWERFUL BALLADS. Talking about Pastora Soler and Ruth Lorenzo, i happen to love and like both of their songs, and they should even deserve a place higher than 10th!!!
