Junior Songfestival continued tonight in the Netherlands with the second semi-final.

After last week’s high drama four more acts took to the stage but only two of them could continue in the race to represent Amsterdam at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Malta.

Who were those two you ask? Sebastiaan and Julia: who you guys picked first and second in our poll (nailed it!).

We love the stage presence Julia has – the choreography and shimmering top are just the icing on her cake. Likewise Sebastiaan rocked on stage. The Netherlands will have a tough choice on its hands next week!

Beau and Anne & Anique finished just a few points short of the top two acts. They may be gone but they aren’t forgotten: we love their songs and want to hear them again because they are amazing! And one of them could still go to the final if they win the wildcard vote.

The Results

The Wildcard

Four songs are already in the final, but the final and fifth song will be chosen by YOU.

If you want to vote click here to go to the official Junior Songfestival site. Then you click on “STEM NU”, below at the article. When you’ve done that you just click on the picture of Sem, Beau, Bobby & Ella or Anne & Anique. Then you click on “STEM”.

If you see: “Jij hebt gestemd op [Name]” then you’re vote is counted. But if it’s showing “Jij bent niet ingelogd” click on the white link “inloggen” and log in to your Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or your AVROTROS account. You can only vote once for one act! VOTING CLOSES TOMORROW, (21ST SEPTEMBER) AT 10AM (CET)!

Just heard the 4 songs that have qualified. Not really impressed, I must say. The only really decent one is Chelsea’s ”Waarom” followed by Julia’s ”Around”. 3rd place for the a bit annoying after a while Suze’s ”Holiday” and last (and certainly least) Sebastiaan’s cheesy to death (in a bad way) ”2gether we are one”

I’m like 95% sure that we’re gonna send Julia. I also think this could do very well in Malta since our other dance songs at JESC took place 1 and 2 😀

I voted for Anne and Anique btw, the others were deserved non qualifiers imo.

For the final it would be for me:

1. Julia
2. Chelsea
3. Anne & Anique
4. Suze
5. Sebastiaan (why for God’s sake he got the jury’s 10 points, seriously)

Julia pretty much has the win already. She got a perfect score in this semi and easily is the fan-favourite. Plus she’s so pretty :O I don’t know whose idea it was to dress Sebastiaan like that, but whoever it was should be fired. He’s also really awkward on stage and that’s not a good thing. I think Anne & Anique have a good chance of winning the wildcard. They have my favourite studio version, but what lead them to not qualify was a mediocre vocal performance and being awkward on stage. Normally I love ballads, but Beau’s just doesn’t… Read more »
