Olia Tira, Moldova’s representative at Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with SunStroke Project, has a new hobby: drawing. More precisely, she is drawn to the art of self-portraiture.

In a video proudly shared on her Facebook page, Olia carefully adds the finishing touches on her self-portrait, which was drawn from a selfie on her phone. Talk about taking the art of selfie to a new level!

We do admire Olia Tira’s newly found talent, although we hope that this does not mean she is giving up singing. It has been a while since she released some new music.

Speaking of singing, here she is performing her 2014 bid for Eurovision “Never Stop No” with her band FLUX LIGHT in Chisinau recently. We had the opportunity to interview the man with the box on his head.

What do you think about Olia Tira’s drawing skills? And would you like her to represent her country again, seeing as TRM recently confirmed that Moldova will be competing in Vienna?

@Bogdan Honciuc: Let’s agree to disagree. That is definitively what we all should be doing though instead everybody for the most part seems to be so much in the agreement of how great the whole thing is in terms of party, looks, backstage stories, shade and trash, gossip and glitz …. and the musical nature of the whole thing just has been blown away out of the water. And that musical critical approach has remained as my approach … If I were a real housewife of some city in the world being in some crappy reality show, I’d be probably… Read more »

@Bogdan Honciuc: Hopefully you know who won back in 1975. Cause I do know who won in my birthyear … and certainly not anyone trying desperately hard to win a competition and grabbing everyone’s attention with something musically debatable. Still, regardless of my more negative or less appreciate views (it would be so boring if we all came here to praise crap or greatness the exact same way … and why shouldn’t I come back here? Isn’t Eurovision about music? Or is there something hidden I am not getting about Eurovision?) I cannot agree with your usage of the word… Read more »

Charles’ lack of knowledge qualifies him as an amateur. And, in this case, a jerk.

I have a huge issue with the usage of the expression “Eurovision veteran” being applied to address someone who actually only took part of the competition in … 2010 … Hopefully Elisabeth Andreassen (1982, 1985, 1994, 1996) is not reading this. Although I do understand and have witness the intensity and somewhat sometimes-over-the-top passion for the contest from current fans who probably were born after the Dana International revolution and other who only woke up to follow it due to that same revolution, certain things keep a meaning that is not meant to be changed not even in the most… Read more »
