It may be morbid, but we’ve all thought about heaven and how to get there. The holy books set out a lot of hoops and loops for us to navigate through, and generally turn the process into a lotta hard work. So praise the lord for Nina Badric. The Croatian representative at Eurovision 2012 has joined forces with Zeljko Vasic, and together they’ve come up with “Lozinka Za Raj”, which translates as “Password To Heaven”. Hallelujah!
The atmospheric video begins with the tick-tock of a clock lying amidst the sands of time. And then Zeljko starts to sing. He’s suffering from insomnia and so is his lover. He clenches his teeth so that they can’t kiss. But he realises that their love is the password to heaven and he regrets not kissing her. Our friend Nina has the same problem. She too clenched her teeth, and like Zeljko regrets her restraint. Both of them sing about saving the truth for god. They’ll die from the truth while they burn the candle for those who live. We can’t help but feel slightly short-changed. Where’s our password? Guess we’ll have to wait for a sequel.
