Artists don’t enter Eurovision to become one-hit wonders. They want to kickstart, or sustain, fabulous careers. This year’s five nominees for Most Likely to Succeed Commercially all demonstrate long-term money-making potentialPolina Gagarina’s powerful voice and fierce looks will no doubt secure her future success. Mans Zelmerlow’s heartthrob status and modern sound will help him to expand his huge fan base. And although Il Volo and Guy Sebastian have already secured a large following, Eurovision has led them to new markets.

But according to our readers one act is more likely to make cash money than any other. After counting 4,914 votes, we are pleased to announce that Belgium’s Loïc Nottet has won the Vision Music Award 2015 for Most Likely to Succeed Commercially.

Loïc gave us one of the most contemporary and innovative songs of Eurovision 2015. Backed up by a brilliant stage performance (Belgium also won this year’s VMA for Best Staging), “Rythym Inside” impressed the juries and dazzled the viewers at home, landing Belgium in fourth place. His single “Rhythm Inside” has already been certified gold. He slayed the iTunes charts at home and even cracked the UK Top 100.

Loïc joins a star-studded roster of previous winners: Norway’s Margaret Berger took the prize in 2013, while The Netherlands’ Common Linnets won last year.

MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED COMMERCIALLY: 2015

1. Loïc Nottet: 1,643 votes (33.44% )
2. Mans Zelmerlow: 882 votes (17.95% )
3. Guy Sebastian: 455 votes (9.26%)
4. Il Volo: 853 votes (17.36%)
5. Polina Gagarina: 1,081 votes (22%)

Total Votes: 4,914

I personally voted 4 Il Volo on this category to win this Vision award.. 1) Il Volo 2) Polina Gay.Gay.rina Only these 2 mainly.. ————————— 3) Mans 4) Loic Noitte 5) There is no fifth 😛 Il Volo have the most potentials to succeed a real career in music…Polina as well has potentials to launch an international career.. About the rest ones…I find the won of Loic not really deserved one..Its another thing 4 him to meet & enjoy success with his visionary song and another case to believe that he has so many potentials 4 an international career more… Read more »

@V. And being that sort of rip off of Il Divo is what has allowed them to sell records in the USA although, quite ironically, I don’t see them selling anything relevant on European ground, which still makes me wonder: 366 points achieved by televoting and nobody has bothered getting the single afterwards? And also, why calling themselves “Il Volo” when we already have “Il Divo” … too many “Il” … at least the Canadians Tenors were smart by not following such pathetic idea. But in overall, though commercially successful and acclaimed by the buying public, the pop-opera genre of… Read more »

@Zac, if that’s the case then this category would be called “Most Potential” (don’t get me wrong, I do quite like Loic though; I think he’s great). However, this is “succeeding commercially” which does mean selling singles and albums. Guy already has the proven track record for it – 6 Australian #1s (I believe only Kylie has more), the aforementioned 7 top 10 #1 albums (2 of which were #1 BTW) and is the only one of these nominees to have a top 40 radio hit/top 100 Billboard hit in the U.S., which is obviously the world’s biggest music market.… Read more »

I honestly think Molly from Ireland has a lot of potential. Her album will be out soon she is definitely one to keep an eye on. I hope to see a Wiwibloggs review of the album

@Breikimchi

The voters decided Loic had ~star potential~ which he totally does, not how many albums he’s sold in the past

Guy Sebastian is obviously the winner. He has already had seven top ten albums in Australia and will only sell more with this European exposure.
Voters did not think about this one.

Totally agree with Loic winning but Polina coming last in the poll is horrendous. She’s much better than Guy, Måns and Il Volo
