It looks like Slovakia aren’t coming back to Eurovision any time soon. But so long as Kristína Pelakova continues to give us new music, we won’t shed a tear… well not too many.

The Eurovision 2010 representative has just dropped her latest single “Na Bieleho Kona” (On The White Horse), and it’s magical. Which is unsurprising, considering it’s being released especially for the upcoming festive season. As part of their Christmas schedule, Slovak broadcaster RTVS will premier Johankino Tajomstvo, a mystical fantasy set in medieval times. Kristína is one of the film’s stars, while her single features on the official soundtrack.

The song transports us back to the Middle Ages, a time of knights, castles, princes and princesses. The “Horehronie” singer perfectly evokes the atmosphere of the period, telling her prince to place her on the white horse so that they can fly to the stars. It’s all so dreamy! We’re in love with the fairytale.

The music video is interspersed with scenes from the movie and shots of Kristína singing. And the projection dress trend continues. She werks it and can most definitely compete with Sabina Babayeva and Aliona Moon for the title of fairest dress in the land.

Johankino Tajomstvo isn’t Kristina’s first acting role. Earlier this year, she featured in the Czech comedy Zivot je Zivot, which gave us the cabaret-style “No. 1”.

Even after Eurovision 2010, Kristina seems so successful in Slovakia. 🙂
