Moldova: Artists draw running order for semi-finals

Moldova‘s 24 Eurovision hopefuls gathered in Chisinau today to draw their running order for the semi-finals of O melodie pentru Europa 2016 on 23 and 25 February. Doinita Gherman opens the first semi, while Elle will inexplicably close the second one after they announced their withdrawal.

First semi-final running order

*Update: Vitalie Todirascu replaced Elle, who were previously drawn to perform last in the scond semi-final. Elle officially withdrew from the contest five days after the running order draw.

Asked about Elle’s presence in the second semi-final, band manager Alla Dontu confirmed to wiwibloggs that the band did withdraw from the selection and that their placing in the line-up is a “misinformation”. Apparently Elle have failed to officially notify TRM, which drew their order for them in their absence.
