It was more of the same for Freddie from Hungary during his second rehearsal of “Pioneer”. He’s still handsome. He’s still rocking his gravelly voice. And he’s still standing on molten LED rocks. He seems to understand that if it ain’t broke, you ain’t gotta fix it…
Everything about this performance is polished, professional and ready to go. Accompanied by three backing vocalists and a drummer, Freddie oozes confidence and sex as he continuously nails his vocal performance.
There are still some very minor teething issues, as when the backing vocalists seem more prominent than Freddie. But this is more down to the technicians than Freddie’s team of singers.

We know something but not everything. His voice is great and stable, vocalists are awesome, drummer moves well, staging is pure, nice and masculine. (according to his personality I cannot imagine a Lazarev’s type of stage for him) BUT we do not see lava floor, camera movements, the whole visualisation.
So everybody should calm down till 10th of May. Fingers crossed for him.
Go Freddie, become Pioneer! Lots of people are behind you.
@Bhrister Cjorkman
That can be solved very easily. Don’t show the clappers too much and focus the camera on Freddie?…
@EugeneESCUK
Since 90% of the ESC entries lacks originality, it might not be a disadvantage for Pioneer…….
This could have been built into a Winner’s song. The theme, the true statements about our fake world, the strong message, the whistle, the anthemic sound, with a great voice. It has almost everything. They don’t present it badly, just isn’t impressive and extraordinary enough to beat those “products of this fake world”…..
It can still make the Top 15, or Top 10 at best.
Freddie is gorgeous, but the song is also very good. I can see this doing really well.
Prediction: 6-10 in the final.
Is it bad when the three clappies back there attracted more attention than Freddie? Yes it is.
I do not usually write below Freddie’s posts. Get the foam rid off your mouth!
@Österrike Do you like the song? It is a new information for me. I have not read any positive comment from you.
@Österrike Based on your previous comments in connection with Freddie your comment about staging is irrelevant. It can be hell, heaven or earth you hate it. I do not really know why you have a continous motivation to write negative comments below Freddie’s articles. Do not you have any favourite to support?
BB, actually I like the song but I detest doom and gloom. It does not feed my soul well.
A shy encounter of Maltese food tasting between Ira Losco, Zoe and Freddie.

Unfortunately, Freddie did not bring any gifts and got embarassed by the gifts he got.
Boring song and this drum is very annoying. Sorry, Freddie.
Österikke no problem…he will get my and my friends vote
Looks like Hell to me with Freddie being the Devil. Not gonna get my vote.
Well there is a shot where you can see how its looking this on tv. Watch on the right bottom the screen…its fantastic.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipX7ghUrWNA …this is so going to the final.And now I can see this top 10 easily.His voice is fantastic and different.The whole performance is polished.For the haters this is going to be top3-5 in the semi no doubt about it.I love this song and performance.
I like when the staging is not too complicated.
I don’t know why but I can still see this not qualifying. It’s borderline at best for me.
his voice just sounds so forced like he’s constipated
With the right camera cuts, this will be amazing. First performance that holds my attention fully. Definite qualifier, maybe top 3 from this semi.
His voice is amazing but the rehearsal was nothing special and I don’t like the backing vocalists and the drummer.
@Leo
He has to qualify but this wasnt a fantastic rehearsal….the first was better to me
That was a fantastic rehearsal! He has to qualify
