At Eurovision 2016 Dami Im danced in the green room while Justin Timberlake performed “Can’t Stop This Feeling” during the voting interval.
And she continued to feel his groove recently as the two sat down for an interview to promote Trolls the movie, which features his hit on its soundtrack.
Dami starts the interview by singing the praises of his Eurovision performance.
“I remember hearing it for the first time,” she says. “We were all dancing on the floor and we were thinking, ‘Wow. This is going to be huge. It’s such a great song!'”
Always charming Justin replies: “I’m glad you were right!”
Dami, who won the jury vote at Eurovision in a landslide, then asks him what he thought of the show.
“It was a new experience for someone who was not competing. I loved it. There is no show or competition like that.”

Justin, who served as executive music producer for Trolls, also discusses how he worked with the film’s directors, producers and music supervisors to make sure the songs and musical interludes “sounded decent.”
“For instance, a song like ‘True Colors’ which is such a classic song, the scene we use it in, we wanted it to feel intimate and not overproduced because it’s such an intimate moment between the characters.”
Towards the end of the interview, adorable Dami lets Justin know that she’s just a tad awestruck meeting him.
“Thanks for chatting to me. It’s really nice to finally be able to talk to you….Ugh, I’m fan-girling really hard, so I’m so glad to be talking to you.”
In recent months Justin has been on a whirlwind tour promoting the film. Along the way he’s met with several other Eurovision stars — including Belgium’s Laura Tesoro, Russia’s Dima Bilan and Germany’s Lena — to discuss the movie.
