Last night in the first semi-final of EMA 2017 — Slovenia’s national selection for Eurovision — KiNG FOO, Nika Zorjan, Sell Out and Omar Naber booked their places in the final. And tonight eight more acts will attempt to join them as they turn up the heat in the second semi-final.
Raiven returns with what sounds like an epic electro-ballad. Surely she’ll be hungry for a win: Last year she advanced to the superfinal, finishing second to ManuElla by just 127 votes. Tonight she’ll square off against Duncan Kamakana, a former The Voice US competitor who will sing a duet with Kataya. Maraaya — the husband-wife duo who sang for Slovenia at Eurovision 2015 — have a number in the mix with “Heart of Gold”, which will be sung by BQL. It’s got a cool Caribbean vibe and we want to grab our shades!
