Ukraine rock group O.Torvald won Ukraine’s national final with their song “Time” and will represent their country on home soil in Kyiv in May.
“Time” is full of rock attitude and the lyrics are full of depth and meaning. The songs is about taking some time out from the hectic pace of modern life: “Let’s listen and hear the true meaning of silence”.
The band also plays around with the different meanings of time – “Time to look into your eyes/Time to find truth, time against the lies/Time will give us a sign/It can make a promise, it’s our time to shine”
While the lyrics may sound like they’re treading a familiar Eurovision path, the group infuse the song with a new style that brings a new setting to the classic themes.
