It was a buzzy Friday evening at Budapest Park, one of Europe’s Biggest club-concert venues (which can hold up to 12,000 people). It’s all thanks to this year’s Hungarian Eurovision act AWS, who held a major gig in the company of their metal buddies Kies and Apey And The Pea. And it turned out to be more than just a concert.

In front of a packed venue, AWS owned the stage, driving the fans to delirium as their popular tunes progressed one after another. The show included a “Wall of Death”, aka two groups of people running into each other as during medieval battles, during their track “Hajnali Járat” (Morning route):

And of course they performed their Eurovision entry “Viszlát Nyár”, which led the audience to sing along.

The most emotional moment came towards the end of the show, though, as frontman Örs performed their stripped down love ballad “Édes, mint a só” (Sweet like salt) with guitarist Dániel Kökényes accompanying him. Then, to everyone’s surprise, he proposed to his girlfriend!

“Dear Nina, you’re my best friend. And seriously I never loved anyone this much. And…I know I lied to you when I said I’ll do this next year, but…will you marry me?”

Nina rewarded his courage, saying yes before they ended up kissing and being hugged by the rest of the band in front of the cheering audience.

Aszonta IGEN! ?????=?

Congratulations to happy couple, though I don’t like sharing intimate moment like this with hundreds of unknown people.

We need more gay couples, not so many hetero-normative couples. Eurovision needs diversity.

@Rocco
Lol I like Netta and I’ll be in Jerusalem next year

But it’s also nice to change of subject. This “publicity” on Israel sucks too. I prefer the Portuguese drama on the LED screens.
