It’s all change as the next lot of results in the 2019 OGAE Poll have been revealed. Clubs from Serbia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Estonia have revealed their top tens. The new totals have seen Italy regain its lead and put the UK on the scoreboard for the first time.

OGAE Serbia were next to reveal their votes. And like a lot of other OGAEs, their top three were the Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy. Serbia also gave Slovenia five points, almost doubling Zala and Gasper’s total. Serbia also threw two points the way of Portugal, giving Conan Osíris a small boost.

OGAE Azerbaijan is one of the smallest clubs to vote, with just 16 members. But they also supported the overall favourites, with the Netherlands, Italy and Cyprus getting the Azeri top votes. The rest of Azerbaijan’s top ten had no surprises, echoing the overall OGAE favourites to date.

Ukraine might not be competing in Eurovision 2019, but OGAE Ukraine still have a right to vote in the OGAE poll. Over 100 members voted and had the Netherlands, Italy and Switzerland in their top three. Ukraine also gave five points to Armenia — the second lot for Srbuk — and four points for France’s Bilal Hassani.

And OGAE Estonia also revealed their points. Estonia gave their 12 points to Baltic neighbour Sweden — the first tolv poäng for Sweden — with Netherlands and Italy rounding out Estonia’s top three. Estonia also had three points for Belgium’s Eliot and finally put the UK’s Michael Rice on the scoreboard with two points.

Overall, it’s all change at the top. While Switzerland’s Luca Hänni enjoyed a tantalisingly brief stay in first place, he’s now back down to second as Italy’s Mahmood regains his top position. In third place is the Netherlands’s Duncan Laurence. Dunc is just one point behind Switzerland, which makes it very likely that the “Arcade” singer will slip into second place as further OGAE clubs reveal their votes.

The OGAE Poll is not considered an accurate prediction of Eurovision results. However, it does offer a strong indication of what songs are fan favourites and is good at predicting which songs won’t qualify for the grand final.

Some people obviously have trouble accepting the fact that this year it will be between Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy. This year I totally agree. Does that make me a sheep, voting with everyone else like some dares to presume? Last year my absolute favorite was Georgia. I did not like Cyprus nor Israel at all. But that how it’s sometimes goes. If it doesn’t go your way it does not mean it’s going the wrong way! Don’t be a snowflake!

Wow we finally got some votes, that’s amazing and 2 points as well, honestly being from the UK even though he wasn’t my first pick, I think his voice and stage performance is worth way more than 2 points, so people need to vote honestly and not just on odds, and who’s the favourite to win. I just hope Cyprus, Portugal, Switzerland and some others get way more points.

Where is Portugal in Ukraine list, I know a lot of people like it, even musical producer the Voice of Ukraine talk about him. From this list only Italy and Greece are my fav.

The betting odds are this way because people think this and this and this song will / might win…

At Eurovision fb page they posted a game where you should guess the Top 10.
It’s close similar to betting odds and not because they copy and paste it, they think really it will end up this way and it’s up to now realistic!

But when the rehearsals are starting, it will change because of flop staging or surorises!

The betting odds are based to what the fans prefer but after rehearsals the bettings show what press want!

It’s not like everyone votes like that. There’s like 30+ members of each OGAE, the points they’re giving are for those countries that appear the most often in members’ top 10s. Someone could give their 12 points to Montenegro, but it’s not gonna be counted because hardly enyone else voted for them. It’s like complaining that wiwi poll is similar to the odds.

It’s like peer pressure imo. Just think of term “guilty pleasure”! Why would you feel guilty if you enjoy particular song which others don’t? Very “mature” thinking indeed.

I agree. Betting odds / ”public opinion” creates an illusion that is the ”right” way of sorting things out and that, whatever you think, these ten-ish songs just have to be in the upper half somewhere, otherwise you’re ”wrong”. I was somewhat influenced by that mentality too before. Now I really try to state only my opinion, regardless of betting odds.

Imagine how boring it would be if the 8-10-12 points were almost all given to the same 3 countries.

Serbia still no points. I must be listening to a different song to anyone else because I think it’s really good. Australia and Ireland are going to find it tough too.

Yes. At least he won’t be getting nil points from OGAE. Now, fix the mistake and bring Kate, Nevena and Ester some points too!
