Annalisa’s “Sinceramente” has been crowned OGAE’s top Eurovision national final song of 2024 during the annual Second Chance Contest.

The poll, which has been held every year since 1987, sees OGAE clubs across Europe, and the rest of the world, put forward a song that competed in their country’s national final for Eurovision. A vote is then taken amongst OGAE members to select a winner.

Italy stormed to victory in this year’s contest, with Annalisa earning over 100 points more than runner-up Jacqline from Sweden. It now means that OGAE Italy has the honour of organising next year’s Second Chance Contest.

This is in fact Annalisa’s second victory at the competition, having previously taken the trophy in 2018 with her ballad “Il Mondo Prima Di Te.” She’s only the second act to achieve a double win, after Alcazar won for Sweden in 2003 and 2005.

Annalisa is a queen, she was my favourite to win San Remo. Much better and more classy song than La noia. I am sure it would achieve TOP 3 placing in Grand Final of Eurovision. I think it’s a matter of time when Annalisa wins San Remo and represents her country. Jacqline was amazing too, I also prefer her song more than Marcus & Martinus. I am happy that both of my favourites scored top two positions this year!
