This doll is turning up the sound for her performance at the London Eurovision Party. Yes, Luxembourg’s Laura Thorn is coming to LEP! The small nation returned to Eurovision last year, and they are back again in 2025, with a fan-favourite, “La poupée monte le son”.

The upbeat pop song where Laura portrays a doll breaking free from expectations has been revered by Eurofans since it’s release, and we can’t wait to see it light up the stage at Here At Outernet in the UK Capital, on April 13th.

Who is Laura Thorn?

Laura Thorn is a Luxembourgish singer, who also teaches at the Luxembourgish Esch/Alzette Conservatory of Music. She won the right to represent her home country at Eurovision 2025 with her entry “La poupée monte le son” via national selection, Luxembourg Song Contest. Laura won the international juries in a landslide, and came 2nd in the televote. From this she earned a total of 184 points, with a 50+ point gap between her and second-placer Zero Point Five

The entry harks back to 1965 Luxembourg Eurovision-hero France Gall, and her contest-winning song “Poupée de cire, poupée de son”, a song again about being a doll in a way more suited for the time period. However, Laura Thorn has brought the meaning of the song into the 2020’s, claiming back the style to make it a feminist anthem. No-one can mess with this doll, and she won’t be quiet. As the song title suggests, as the doll, she is turning the sound up!

There is a retro vibe, with modern elements. “La poupée monte le son” has really caught the attention of Eurovision fans, and we’re sure you’re all thrilled to see her in London at Here At Outernet for the London Eurovision Party!
