Ed Sheeran has revealed the dates of his 2023 North American tour and with it one very big surprise.

Armenia’s Eurovision 2023 singer Rosa Linn will open for the “Shape of You” hitmaker during five shows in Toronto, Landover, Foxborough, Pittsburgh and Detroit.

Khalid will be a permanent guest of “The Mathematic Tour”. Rosa Linn will rotate in alongside other well-known artists like Dylan, Cat Burns and Maisie Peters.

Tickets for the tour are available already here.

Rosa Linn posted a video on her Instagram to announce the good news, writing in the caption: “Whaaaaat? From doing covers of your songs to opening your tour!!! I am so honored to be a part of this. Thank you @teddysphotos.”

Incredible things have been happening to Rosa Linn since she welcomed Europe to her paper house on the Eurovision stage. She only finished 20th in the final, but her song “Snap” went viral on TikTok anyway.

The popularity of the song and a sped-up version on TikTok helped “Snap” break into the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, where it’s now sat for five weeks. Following the huge success of the song, Rosa Linn signed with Columbia Records.

And now she’s keeping a good thing going by dropping an Italian version of the song, performed with the Italian singer Alfa. He happens to be one of Rosa Linn’s favorite Italian artists. This new version blends their voices perfectly in the chorus, but also shines a light on each of their voices with individual moments too. The lyrics of the song are both in English and Italian.

Is new music coming soon? The answer is “yes”.

On another Instagram video, she explains the meaning of the date that appears in the line: “Since June 22nd, my heart’s been on fire.”

Rosa Linn says that’s when she lost a person who she loves, as he lives on the other side of the planet and since then she’s faced the darkness of moving on.

She also mentioned that it feels unbelievable how the song she wrote about an unrequited love is now a worldwide hit and that the person she loves has probably heard it.

Even if her life has completely changed since June 22, she says she would go through the pain again if she could see him once more. At the end of this video there’s a teaser for her new song “Would Do It Again,” which should be with us all soon.

I didn’t really pay any attention to this little cute song back in May, I’ll be honest. But now is all over the radio and I get it why it got so popular. Is a laid back cute affair, nothing that stands out which for the ESC stage was a minus, but in real life, girl, you nailed it.

Good luck to her. I truly hope that we will be getting more of these in the upcoming years and ESC gets the relevancy in its fullest.

I’m sooo waiting for her next song! I wonder if she’s going to preform both Snap and Would do it again (and/or other songs if she has released by that time) at the tour concerts?

Rosa, we now need a new song. Eurovision fans heard this song almost a year and a half ago (I’m sure they depreciate the ding now until it becomes nostalgic again as it always happens in a year or so). Please, drop something fresh and nice. I’m glad Rosa’s having her big time. She was also an opening act for ZAZ’s gig in Yerevan. Rosa, make us proud in these dark times for Armenia. Armenians are through horrors and you’re shining a light. Love you.

Wow, impressive feat by her management! Hope she can make it even bigger.

For god’s sake what does ”snap” have to being overrated that much.. You could just do speed up version of any song and literally any sound could go viral on TikTok. Eurovision Song Contest had thousands of songs that deserved more attention than ”snap”

„Snap“ is a brilliantly simple, yet wonderful song. Even slowed down versions still sound great.

Because people like it so much. You don’t have to like it if you don’t see the appeal.

No song is ‘deserving’ of attention. Either people want to listen to it, or they don’t. Apparently people want to listen to this song. And I get why, it’s pleasant and unpretentious. Maybe you don’t like that.

Good always wins in the end. She’s such a beautiful soul who was absolutely ignored by ESC fandom. Now, she has the 5th most successful song that came out of Eurovision in Eurovision history.

You’re right, Waterloo and Volare are part of last century’s classics, but it had been a while since Eurovision alumni succeeded after the contest so I get and love the hype! 😀

Eurovision and TikTok is a match made in heaven. Many great songs have been part of the contest but were overlooked afterwards, fortunately TikTok came to change that 😀
