Serbian summer songs are like buses: you wait a lifetime and then two come at once. Following Sara Jo’s release of “Ko je ovde ko“, Nevena Bozovic has premiered the music video for her latest pop offering “Bal” (Dance). The long-awaited music video was directed by and features Milos Bikovic, a well known actor in the Balkans – apparently. With scenes on a beach, in a car and at the fairground, it bears a strong resemblance to Rihanna and Calvin Harris’ “We Found Love“.
The song opens boldly with guitars and violins, but the upbeat tempo really kicks in during the first chorus. It’s a different vibe to Nevena’s previous singles “Znam de Nocas Gubim te” and “Tacka” as there’s a notably more light-hearted mood. Nevena suits dance music just as much as she suits ballads, so it would be nice if she continued releasing singles of this nature. We love it!
