Turkish singer Serhat was announced as San Marino’s internally selected act for Eurovision 2016. The gravelly voiced singer will be performing “I Didn’t Know”, a song with deeply romantic lyrics.
The song tells of Serhat’s gradual realisation of his feelings for his loved one. He has acknowledges his feelings, that “I didn’t know that I’m falling for you and my dreams could come true.”
His desire is strong. “I want to stay with you tonight,” he confesses. And later sings, “I want to sleep upon your skin”. He’s a man in love, having met his soulmate: “I didn’t know you’re the one for me I thought I’d never find”.
San Marino has qualified for the Eurovision final only once. Can Serhat take the microstate there again?
