Following the cancellation of Eurovision last year, the majority of the class of 2020 received the comeback ticket to sing again at Eurovision 2021. A massive 26 artists will return to represent their countries at the contest this year. But as per the standard Eurovision rules, they’ve all got new songs.
And so, the comparisons begin. We’re running a series of polls to find out from our readers — do you prefer the returning acts’ 2020 or 2021 songs?
Today, we want to hear your opinions about Greece. Junior Eurovision star Stefania was set to sing “SUPERG!RL” at Eurovision 2020. This year, she’s going back to Rotterdam with “Last Dance”. Two years, two songs. But which is better? Vote now in our poll battle!

“SUPERG!RL” (Greece 2020)
Greek broadcaster ERT internally selected Stefania to represent Greece at Eurovision 2020. She previously appeared at Junior Eurovision 2016, representing The Netherlands as part of Kisses. Her song for Rotterdam last year, “SUPERG!RL”, was a pop song about a girl with powers, trying to make it by in this crazy world of ours. The Wiwi Jury — our in-house panel of music unprofessionals — awarded Stefania an average score of 6.48/10.
“There’s something here that’s slightly lacking”, said wiwiblogger Jonathan. “In a way, the song is maybe too reliant on the instrumental section, with Stefania almost playing second fiddle during the chorus. It’s not a bad song by any means and I enjoy listening to it, but Stefania should be the star in centre stage.”
“Last Dance” (Greece 2021)
“Last Dance” is a more mature offering from Stefania, showcasing her growth as an artist.
It’s 1980s disco reinvented, somewhere between the musical stylings of Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Dua Lipa.

I found Supergirl kind of annoying, it sounded like a cheap song from Junior Eurovision. Last Dance landed in my top 10 <3
It’s not the “Last Dance” though – the lyrics seem to indicate they will dance again. So, I’m calling it “Non Last Dance.” 😀
Unpopular opinion: I actually like “Supergirl” slightly better. But it’s close.
Second single rarely beats the first. That’s the general problem this year when most countries let their artist return no matter the song. In a SONG contest we would care less about fairness for certain artists “earning” their place based on last years merits. I preferred last years song in most cases. The Roop being one of few exceptions.
The Roop had the biggest downgrade of most, mainly because On fire was really hard to top. Discoteque isnt doing it
I can accept that’s your opinion. Last years song was really hyped and I felt nothing. This year I can feel the groove. But musical preferences are not always universal
I really liked Supergirl at first listens, but after a couple I just lost interest. And I CANT bring myself to go listen to it now.
On the other hand, I loved Last Dance at the first listen and I listen to it everyday and dont think Im getting tired of it soon.
Definitely Supergirl, Last Dance is also quite nice though.

What a beautiful song. What an ugly staging. What was that blue hand with the big nails. Ugh girl what she was thinking.
And unpopular opinion – The songs are pretty similar in quality! Last Dance is more mature, more polished and will probably reach the wider demographics, but Supergirl had that specific JESC-ish cuteness which is rarely found in ESC entries. And that instrumental drop is really good. In short – I really like both songs. 🙂

Perhaps you are right. However, since we did get that song, I have to assess it as a good one. I agree that it would fare better at JESC, though.

Because many hate comments towards Stetania are not for the song but for the country she is representing to, I would kindly ask anyone who is going to judge any song considering the country but not the song and how this is delivered by the artist just to get away from Wiwibloggs.

I’ve met a couple of Austrian people and some of them when I told them that I’m Greek the first thing they said is “Pay Debts”. So yes, I can imagine a reason some Western European people “hate” us, even though these are the minority

Just be careful not to bite your own tongue, it can be dealdly.. Greeks love Turkish music by the way as we have a lot of Middle Eastern influence in our songs and many songs from the Balkan are meaningful and strong.. i liked supergirl but last dance is so much better!!! i can’t wait to see what greece, moldova, malta and azerbaijan are preparing for the stage! I love all of them and i would be happy seeing them in the top10
Last Dance is a more mature version of Stefania, without losing her childhood power! Something that missed the ”Superg!rl”
The majority of the countries had placed it between 23rd-26th place in televoting in the final so that doesn’t make even sense
Supergirl was a bad song. No chance to go through to the final. Stefania’s 2021 entry is million times better and is a sure qualifier given she can sing live (or the whole singing with backing vocals is well executed) and the staging is top-notch. If it goes through to the final, I expect this to be 10-15 place max. Good luck Greece! Go Stefania!
Well, Supergirl was an age and sex appropriate song. For example, a 50 year old man couldn’t sing ” I’m a Supergirl Supergirl onana” without feeling uncomfortable. This would reach the final because this would have a nice staging and because of Stefania, but it would flop once more in the final sadly, just like Katerine Duska in 2019. Superg!rl was in in my top 10 (9th) last year, but Last Dance is easily better. Greece is 5th for me this year.
I like Stefania. She seems sweet. Like, what Eurovision is all about. Unearthing a young new talent. Giving them a shot on the big stage. Then never hearing of them ever again. Lol jokes, I love Eurovision 🙂
Last dance is the most contemporary and current song of ESC 2021. From bottom 5 in 2020 Greece is in my top 5 this year.

There are like 40 countries that will be in Eurovision. Every news about any country are going to be posted here, no matter if that country is Iceland, Sweden, North Macedonia, Israel or Portugal

Do you think that countries like Greece are heavily promoted by Wiwibloggs you’re totally wrong. Wiwibloggs post every information availiable provided by every country. I also think that Wiwi doesn’t have right now an author from Greece or Cyprus so the informations about Stefania and Elena are limited
the reason is rather that there is a strong greek community on wiwwi at the moment. this is not the case on most of the other sites and stefania is not particularly well received there either, rather average.

To me Superg!rl was a bit more unique. And even if Last Dance is stronger, I think that later Stefania will be remembered for Superg!rl.
There is no comparison : Last Dance is the most current song in this year’s competition. Supergirl was an ordinary ethnic pop song.

It looked dynamic and fresh but not sure that they would show their choreography like that. I love the way the dancers interact with Stefania.. I think by the time the rehearsals will start we will see where this will be placed..
Supergirl was a decent effort but i think it had a more niche appeal. Last Dance is targeted at a wider audience and hence it gets my vote. I am also enjoying the 80s influences.
