In the run-up to Eurovision, wiwibloggs worried that Baku wasn’t big enough for France’s Anggun and Azerbaijan’s Sabina Babayeva—two women who have mastered the art of tossing their hair behind their ear. So we asked our readers who they think works her locks better in a Eurovision Death Match poll. Anggun ruffled and tossed and stroked her mane to victory with a whopping 62% of all votes.
But the magic of Anggun’s hair remains with Europeans even after Eurovision. In the following video parody of “Echo (You and I),” a black wig turns everyday Frenchmen (and women) into pop stars—and helps them capture a bit of Anggun’s shine. Team Wiwi loves the attention to detail. The singers ooze Anggun by rotating their wrists in a way that screams “Indonesian-born beauty” rather than “aerobics class streches.” You can compare the parody with the official video below.

Here in Indonesia, Anggun stars in the local Pantene commercial. That’s a shampoo brand.
She actually stars in many Pantene commercials from time to time, but here’s the most recent one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZa2dOy50yM
I agree with you Adam,European with such a weirdo taste 🙂
Still can’t believe the abysmal low ranking this song received in Baku. It really was one of the best songs in my opinion. I can’t even speak french but still love it. When a joke act wins second place over this, I just don’t understand you Europeans. Perhaps you all just don’t take this whole Eurovision Song Contest seriously anymore and thus don’t care about recognizing true and real talent.
