As their stage name “Freaky Fortune” suggests, Nick Raptakis and Theofilos Pouzbouris are a little fortunate and a whole lotta freaky. Throw in Riskykidd—a London-born Greek-Jamaican rapper—and you’ve got the recipe for one sick collaboration.
We caught up with the guys at Eurovision in Concert last weekend and they dished on their song “Rise Up”. It’s an electro anthem of hope at a time the Greeks could use a bit of inspiration. “Young people are often affected by the financial crisis,” Pouzbouris says. “[Our song] is reality through the prism of youth and creativity.”
And guess what ladies: Freaky, Fortune, and Riskykidd are all single! Unfortunately Riskykidd doubts they can work romance into their schedules in Copenhagen: “We probably won’t have time to mess around, but hey girls!
Are you in love with the guys? Will you be throwing 12 points their way?
