Never let it be said bombing at Eurovision ends your career.
Embracing the message of Conchita Wurst’s song this year, Spain’s 2009 contestant Soraya rose from the ashes of her embarrassing 24th place finish in Moscow.
She dusted off her blue minidress, got some new foils put in at the salon and strode on.
She released an album Universe In Me that went Top 40 in Spain in November 2013 and more recently has voiced Gabi, an adorable frog, in the Spanish Dub of Dreamworks animation Rio 2. (Interestingly, Andras Kallay-Saunders, Hungary’s Eurovision star, is singing the theme song in the Hungarian version).
She also recently won her second reality TV dancing competition ¡A bailar! having previously triumphed in the Christmas special of ¡Mira Quien Baila!

Clearly this girl has not let Eurovision defeat keep her down and proved that night in Moscow wasn’t the end of everything.
