Anthony: During Belgium’s first rehearsal yesterday, Azel Hirsoux kept the show pretty much as it was back at the Eurosong national final. Axel’s looking very smart in his full tuxedo. Once again he’s accompanied with his dancer on stage. It’s a solid performance overall, although it feels that Axel might have tried a little too hard displaying his vocals at times. We don’t want his eyes to pop out. Belgium have opted to go for a purple floral pattern on the LED screens—perfect for Mother’s Day, which much of Europe celebrates on May 11.

Wiwi: I’m not a fan of that ghostly dancer. She creeps me out, and reminds me of all the mothers that the world has lost. I guess that’s the point—and I’m sure it will stir many voters. I’m not one of them. Axel’s vocals are on point, and I think his operatic number will go down well with older viewers.

No he doesnt live with his mother anymore and he didnt choose the song himself, a jury did. I find it kinda silly people seem to abandon their own mother, you cant even sing about her. Stupid reason. Mother and child is the most important relationship you will have in your life!

Obviously Axel does not read wiwibloggs. Otherwise why would he keep that awful creepy dancer with him on the stage, when everyone here is unanimously sickened by her?! (I’m referring to the ones that actually commented on her). Isn’t the song sickening enough?! God almighty!

Disgusting entry. Wonder if he still lives with his mum. Puke level of awkwardness.
