Jessica Mauboy, the Aussie who sang the extremely fitting song Sea Of Flags at Eurovision, has become an icon to Australian Eurovision fans after performing as an interval act last May. Sadly, Jess’ ambition of making it big in Europe hasn’t quite panned out: Sea Of Flags failed to crack any of the charts in Europe.

But the bubbly woman who “represented” Australia is consolidating her popularity at home. The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the ESC diva has ridden her kangaroo to the stage at the Townsville 500, the V8 SuperCar Race won by Australian car racer Jamie Whincup.

As you can see above, she rocked the stage in a thigh-high dress, which she paired with high tops and some majorly wavy hair. She couldn’t wait to test out one of the world’d most powerful cars, as she loves to ride quad bikes and drive cars back home in Darwin.

Well, my guess for why ‘Sea of Flags’ didn’t do too well is simply because it’s not a very good song. I assume it was written specifically for Eurovision, and I think that just ruined it. Sorry. She should’ve sang ‘Never Be the Same’, that song’s beautiful.
