Days after we reported that Conchita Wurst will open the Malta Eurovision Song Contest national final, Maltese broadcaster PBS has announced that Daniel Chircop and Lyona Xuereb Gatt will host both the semi-final and final on 21st and 22nd November respectively.
Daniel is a well-known comedian and presenter on Maltese television, while Lyona is relatively new to local television, she has been involved in Maltese film productions in the past.
Both shows will be held on the same stage used for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. All 20 acts will perform on Friday’s semi-final, then 14 of them will sing it out again on Saturday’s final for the chance to become Malta’s representative in Vienna. A mixture of televoting and jury vote will be used to decide the winner.
