During today’s second rehearsals, Malta’s Federica Falzon sparkled even brighter than during her first rehearsal. She wore a golden dress cinched at the waist with a glittering belt—obviously a reference to “Diamonds”. It’s a good colour choice: She really stands out against the bright backdrop of jewels, and the light literally makes her shine. She seemed more self-assured this time around. Ahead of her performance she laughed and smiled on her podium (see video below), which suggests she’s totally at ease. It also came through in her assertive hand and arm movements. They are strong but not over-the-top. They give the act a bit of dynamism without distracting from her voice. Federica’s light is only getting brighter. This seems increasingly likely to challenge for the win!

I am concerned about Federica being too perfect and over-qualified for this contest, as if she’s fulfilling the ambitions of an adult mindset, but at the same time, if we solely judge her performance and nothing else, she is really in a league of her… Read more »

Song: 0/12
Live voice: 3/12 (She has a good voice I must admit, however, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE AN OPERA SINGER!!!!!!!)
Performance: 1/12 (She’s officially a candidate for the Josephine Ridell Award for “Lack of backup dancers and least movement!”)
