This morning, during a morning radio show on NERIT, Greek Eurofans had the chance to listen to snippets of the songs competing in the Greek national final. Eurosong 2015 – a MAD show will take place in early March, and five acts will fight for the chance to sing in Vienna. This first glimpse of the songs suggests to us that Shaya and Maria Elena Kyriakou, the winner of The Voice of Greece last year, have a strong shot of coming out on top.
Shaya, Barrice and C Real will all sing pop entries. Maria has opted for an English-language ballad. Given her track record, she will be able to give this lift. Last but not least, Thomai Apergi has come with a jazzy number. It adds variety, but seems a little messy…
You can listen to the snippets here. What are you thinking and who are you supporting?
only shaya
Maria or Shaya to win, don’t like the others at all… i expected better songs from Greece to be honest.
THOMAI the best !!!! greek song ! i love it
Maria Elena,Shaya, Barrice
Ksexasa! Yes haha mixed up XFactor with the Voice for Maria Elena, either way still dont like her
Shaya, Thomai or Maria to Vienna. Good job Greece!
Barrice! His song is very catchy
Good luck from Spain 😉
Barrice or Maria for the win. Thomai’s song is fine, but the other two is shit in my opinion. A weak selection I must say.
María Elena Kyriakou <3
Barrice & Shaya Hansen 4 me only.. <3 I really hope that Thomai's song that is the only one in greek language won't get picked because of this reason factor as there was the desire to send a song that would remind much of Greece and will win for the wrong reason if it does.. I don't want Maria Eleni either…She turns me off….And by the way,she won the Voice and not the XFactor.. C Real's song is not bad but because their main singer Eirini Douka has left the band for ages now they have stopped anymore being the… Read more »
I only like Shaya.
Am I the only one that heard Maria singing “I’m farting tears”? Don’t leave me alone on this one 🙂
I never liked Maria Elena from her time on XFactor, which she only won because of the heavy Cypriot voting. She always seemed fake and is just such a generic singer, I really hope we don’t choose her!
I expected better from Thomai cause I kind of liked “One Last Kiss”.
I can’t tell yet from other three but I think Shaya’s will be the best. Barrice’s is interesting and catchy but I don’t think he is good enough live to pull it off. I love C:Real but cant understand their song from the snippet.
I only like Shaya and Barrice. Very catchy and typical greek songs that work great on stage.
The rest aren’t that bad but kinda average and boring..I mean,I don’t even remember their melody even after several listenings.
Shaya, Maria and Barrice have great songs ( especially Shaya )! Greece is coming for that top 10 spot again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anybody know what happened with Thomai’s ears and decided to take part with this crapy song?
@D
So you found all the songs great except the one you thing have quality.Nice.
– Tomai has the Greek thing. 😀 Sirtaki, flirtaki, tzatzaki. It’s like their financial troubles are long and gone. 🙂
– Maria Elena – sleepy & already made in other countries (which already chose – Malta, Georgia)
– Barrice – oh, he will struggle “live”. Nice rhythm though.
– C Real – OKish.
– Shaya – SUMMER I LOVE YOU!
Greece, nice songs. 🙂
1. Shaya ?
2.Thomai Apergi ?
3.Barrice
4. María Elena Kyriakou
5. C.Real
Greece, the never-disappointing country!!
I think the five of them have something, but I would pick C:Real’s I think =) Let’s wait for the full songs.
They all sound great to me except Thomai’s. But knowing Greece I wouldn’t be surprised if they pick her since they have a habit of picking fun songs rather than quality songs. Anyone remember “Petalouda stin Athina”?
The only thing I can tell from these snippets is that Barrice is definetely a reject. The Maria Elena song sounds a little Vissi-esque to my ears and I’m not sure that is the way to go, However I am sure she will put on a powerhouse vocal performance. I can detect some potential on Shaya and C:Real. However I need to listen more than this tiny snippet to decide. Thomais might be an upset since this is the only song of the bunch with greek lyrics and some greek summertime atmosphere. She will have to tone down her image… Read more »
Okay, I must rephrase my statement. Maria-Elena has a good song (compared to the other 4). We still have to listen to the full songs in order to decide. Well, Thomai’s song has good music but as a greek person myself I can’t deny that the lyrics are poor.
Maria-Elena is 5th out of 5 for me, actually.
Shaya sounds kind of messy, Maria-Elena has a great song though. I liked Thomai’s song but it’s certainly not for ESC. Looking forward for hearing whole songs before concluding, but as for now I go with Maria-Elena
shaya and maria sound the best
