It’s all over! Lithuania have chosen a winner – or should that be winners! Monika and Vaidas have won Eurovizijos atranka 2015 and the Lithuanian Eurovision ticket. The duo reprised their duet of “This Time” and entered the final together to take on Mia. They will go on to sing “This Time” in Vienna after the song which was chosen during last week’s show. The song is composed by Vytautas Bikus and Monika Liubinaite.

The two finalists were assessed and evaluated by two juries. A Lithuanian panel made up of made up of Ramunas Zilnys (music reviewer) and Rosita Civilyte (singer), and an international one consisting of Latvia’s Ralf Eilands, Luxumbourg’s Eric Leman and René Romkes from the Netherlands.
The jury points were then combined with the televotes. You can see the full breakdown below.

Our 2015 selection journey may have finally come to an end, but Lithuanian broadcaster LRT still has two more Eurovizijos atranka episodes for y’all to enjoy. Next week’s ninth show takes a trip down memory lane with The Best of the National Selection highlights special (available on the LRT website). Then on 7 March, The Winning Performer’s Support Concert programme featuring all of this year’s Eurovizijos atranka participants will take place in Vilnius, dedicated to the 2015 entry.
What are your thoughts on LRT’s decision to send Monika and Vaidas as a pair? Do you think that they’ll do better together, or would you rather have seen a solo act win Eurovizijos atranka 2015? Let us know in the comments!

Does this song remind anyone of Firelight’s “Coming Home” (Malta 2014)?
Certainly, much better than what Lithuania sent last year, by leaps and bounds.
Inspired by the greatness of what The Common Linnets did last year and also by the folk country sounds from Malta’s Coming Home, I am pleased to see Lithuania actually delivering a very good piece of music. I agree with the chemistry between the 2 of them on stage and … since 1957 that we can see a man and a woman kiss in Eurovision. Cute, adorable, well performed … the first ever Lithuanian entry I actually like (although I kinda liked the one in 1999). Both Estonia and Lithuania showcased 2 very good entries. Will they be able to… Read more »
Love the song, love their voices, love their chemistry.
Good year for Baltics. I think all 3 countries may get in to finals if Latvia chooses Aminata.
Hey, everyone saying “its copying the common linnets!”…no, no it is not. Neither is Elina & Stig. If that’s the case, then TCL must have copied every duo that’s ever performed before as well. So works both ways.
So yeah, PIPE DOWN/shush your face.
One word: meh.
Awful…
@Gavin why would gay communities refuse to show it? We deal with heterosexuality shoved down our throats everyday and unlike straight people we don’t throw a fit and start banning things when something out of the ordinary is shown 🙂
This song is so fun, but that kiss seems so extra haha, a peck is fine but having it be that long is slightly awkward and takes a bit away from the song
One comment: They changed some of the notes in the chorus from the first time they did the duet – they should change them back! The original melody sounds more satisfying, and the chorus sounds a little messier now. I understand that they wanted to make it sound fresh for the voting audience, but they should be very careful with the note changes.
The changes at the end with backup vocals were good, however. 🙂
My top 15:
1-Malta (just perfection) (10/10)
2-Albania (my very favorite) (9.5/10)
3-Lithuania (9/10)
4-The Netherlands (9/10)
5-Estonia (8.5/10)
6-Iceland (8.5/10)
7-France (8.5/10)
8-Denmark (8/10)
9-Italy (8/10)
10-Switzerland (7.5/10)
11-FYR Macedonia (7/10)
12-Georgia (7/10)
!form Belgium!
13-Belarus (6.5/10)
14-Serbia (6.5/10)
15-Cyprus (6/10)
I love it a lot! Until the duet was an option I liked Vaidas the most and Monika second, and now we get this amazing duet! Great chemistry, fun song, very happy for Lithuania!
Vaidas for Eurovision 2015 Next Top Male Model!!! 😀
Uhhhh. . . .
I believe the Baltic countries will make a splash on the big stage in Vienna. Estonia and Lithuania in my top 3 and if Latvia chooses wisely they will skyrocket along these 2 on my list …… Serbia went downhill for me, I originally liked it but after a few times listening to it I can see how rushed and badly produced it is. Malta and Georgia are so overrated and The Baltic countries are slowly but surely taking them down on the polls. Italy has been doing pretty well, tho opera is not my cup of tea I would… Read more »
I think is the best lithuanian entry till now, i really like the song, right now is in my top 5 but I still believe that vaidas should have sang it alone and they could qualify much better in the final
wow, this is going to be a really WEAK year… no hits so far and we have more than 1/3 of the entries… lithunia, maybe final material, but just because this is a very weak year
I have a great feeling Lithuania’s entry this year will reclaim them from their non-qualification to the finals last year.
I’m going to correct my mistake… It’s not catchy as hell, I couldn’t remember the song in 10-15 min. I really don’t know how well it’s going to do in the contest.
I like this. It may be the first time ever I can say that about a lithuanian song.
Finally lithuania so nd a brilliant entry! I think this will do well!
LOL – Will all gay communities refuse to show this because of 1min.38 in the performance…
…hmmmm I doubt it.
Amazing! I am so happy that a happy song is going to be performed in Vienna.
What happened? First time i LOVE a Lithuanian eurovision entry lol. See you in the final guys!
I’ve listened to this song 3 or 4 times, but I’m not feeling it.
Let down 4 me….Did not like the lithuanian song 4 Vienna….With no offense though to the performers Vaidas + Monika…Its not a bad song of course but its not a really good one either….Anyway…
Really unfair though 4 the other finalist contestant Mia that was left out when Monika teamed up with the hottie babe Vaidas just to have the chance to go to EuroVision i guess because if she had been single by herself instead she would eventually lose to Vaidas obviously..
Ani, the whole idea of unveiling the duet as the eventual winners is nothing new. Azerbaijan has done it all before on the final of their national selection show “Milli Seçim Turu” back in 2011. All 5 finalists performed but in the end, their broadcaster Ictimai TV (ITV) was the one that made the final decision to go for a duet.
LRT manage this victory for Vaidas and Monika ! Change the regulations and not fair for finalist Mia !

ridicolous song, the kiss …. no comments.
Maybe for Eurojunior.
The kiss during the second verse is so cringeworthy
Best entry from Lithuania!
I really like the song and I don’t mind the couple but the song and this couple absolutely don’t go together. She should not start it off at least, the opening line was very underwhelming for such a good song. Needs a ton of work before Vienna.
It reminds me Estonias Triin Niitoja and John4 “This is our choice”
But the song is good tho… Not the best, but catchy as hell.
Sorry,I meant Monika
Vaidas’ solo performance was much better. Mia makes the whole song sound cheaper (no hate lol). That kiss was so lame,if they want to impress us they should take a bed on stage and sing while making out.
Now I remembered…if only Cyprus had chosen the duet. I still can’t believe the best song ended up as last.
This song is completely average, not bad, but definitely not good either.
Strong duet! Right choice 🙂
Best choice, this song is meant to be a duet 🙂
PS. Today we got 2 great duets from Lithuania and Estonia 🙂
For once Lithuania has produced something of good quality. I hope they do well in Vienna
she get to KISS VAIDAS !!!
Best song that Lithuania has produced to date but she brings it all down.
His solo version was much stronger.
Not to mention ANOTHER duet. :I
Best Lithuanian song since their debut
Nice!
definitely lithuania’s best entry to date, no doubt about that
however, it is quite repetitive and in comparison with estonia (which has kind of a similar apeal), i’m afraid that without a decent running order it won’t quite make it on the left hand side of the scoreboard
Really happy with this. Easily the best choice for Lithuania.
Oh, their chemistry! LOVE IT!
GET A ROOM! 🙂
I hope they’ll marry once the Vienna show is over. 😛
I love it! I think all three Baltics have a chance to be in the top 10 this year! This song is my number 2 for now!
first really good entry from Lithuania in years. No comedy act, no strangeness… just a good song..
good work
I found it a bit tactical for Monika and Vaidas to team up against Mia. Was it announced before today that those two would perform together? Looks like we have another duo in the ESC to follow the Common Linnets’ footsteps…in addition to potential Estonia winners Elina & Stig and Norway’s Morland & Deborah…lets see how San Marino’s duo and Czech Republic’s duo will perform too.
