William: Taking a cue from the Peppermints’ Junior Eurovision 2014 performance, San Marino has once again called on the universe for inspiration. Anita & Michele sing and pose and pout in front of an LED screen featuring stars, the Earth and interstellar images. This galaxy is hot! The “Chain of Lights” they sing about may not lead to the final, but they can surely follow it away from last place. This has improved dramatically from the music video. Interestingly, Anita outshined Michele (even if she is lumped with that horrible rap sequence). She looked stunning in a white dress with golden accents that stopped above the knee. These two teens can be proud of a job well done. Valentina would be proud!
San Marino’s first rehearsal at Eurovision 2015
Chris: For a song that I really did not like, this was actually a pretty good performance. Certainly, I don’t think that this one will qualify regardless, but there was nothing too shockingly bad like I was expecting. Anita & Michele know what they’re doing to hit the cameras and they’re both vocally on point, though I agree that Anita is stealing the spotlight right now by being that little bit better.
Padraig: Welcome to the Anita show! Sorry Michele, but this was all about her. Girl may be just 16, but she oozes star quality. She looked stunning, her on-stage charisma is magnetic, and her vocals were excellent – even the rap was acceptable. That’s not to say Michele was bad, he just seemed to be perpetually in the shadow of his co-star. And yes, he’s still sing about his “chain of farts”. The staging is fine too, although it’s unfortunate that we’ve already seen countless globes and constellations already. Alas, none of these factors can overcome the fact that the song is sub-par.

They both look really good. Still not impressed by the song, but it’s not going to be boring!
San Marino have small chance to final, thanks to they have duet with very young singers who have 32 ages in total , and maybe many teenagers and some in juries will give them points.
Another great song from San Marino! Definitely qualifying!! 🙂
I feel so bad for them. They should have had something cooler, something young and fresh.. instead they are sent to Vienna with an old fashioned song about peace or whatever…. that seems to be more fitted for a 60 year old crooner
Was kinda expecting staging with candles. I hope they do qualify but I have lots of favorites in semifinal 2 🙁
I think it was at this website, but most folks (referring to the writers) did not believe Valentina’s “Maybe” was gonna qualify and Im glad your prediction was wrong.
I love the background and the performance overall!
I hate it. Not quallifying. Bye.
Well, unlike Ireland, at least you can tell these two are teenagers. They won’t qualify, but not a totally wasted effort there from San Marino.
I really like this song as well! Maybe San Marino has a chance after all?!
I LOVE this song! I’m hoping they do super well! 🙂
Ok, i agree they deserve to qualify but they won’t… With this performance they are avoiding the last place thats for sure… They will catch some points but they won’t qualify, if they were on the 1st semi they would surely have more chances.
Hope to be wrong tbh because i kinda like the song, and the kids are cool, but Ralph Siegel screwed them with the song…”Chain of Lights” is even more dated than “Maybe” but at least “Maybe” was a masterpiece sung by the biggest Eurovision diva ever.
Well i am in the small minority of the eurofans that like San Marino’s song.. 🙂 I even have it inside the top10 of my own qualifiers songs on the SF.. Its my 10th most liked song of the 2nd semifinal.. Well i do not think at all that Michele with Anita can qualify but at least they have chances possibly to avoid the last place or gather enough points even if they finish last.. I was actually 16 years old when i first watched from tv back in 2002 my beloved EuroVision! <3 🙂 Having a sweet sixteen birthday… Read more »
I’m calling it. This will qualify.
Still don’t understand how two 16-yr-old teens could willingly accept to sing such an awful song…
