William: Michele starts his performance by saying, “No!” But we are saying, yes, yes, yes! Anita & Michele — the youngest duo ever to perform at Eurovision — brought youthful vigor and some super fresh faces to their second rehearsal this morning. As before their staging really stands out. Their 3-D globe is gi-normous and awe-inspiring. Subtle accents — the glimmering city lights, the blue ring that surrounds the LED floor — add so much atmosphere. But my favourite shot comes when Anita & Michele turn around with their backs to the stage and walk toward the camera. Michele is great, but it’s Sanmarinese Anita who my eye turns to each time (and it’s not just because she is two inches taller than him in heels). She’s destined to be the city state’s biggest superstar ever.

San Marino is a micro state, not a city state.. And why are all the articles on Wiwi written like someone has been watching re-runs of Project Runway and RuPaul’s Drag Race all night.. Annoying!

Nice to read a pleading review of this pair. I love it and San Marino are as always taking a hammering from the critics.

Very cheesy and sounds like a reject from “Glee”. San Marino is fighting for the last place…

The staging is improving it a lot and anything that distracts me from listening too carefully is a good thing.

I can’t even describe how much this song is sweet and cheesy. Such a pity. They are so young. They deserve something more fresh and appropriate for their age.

@Wozzeck: Sorry about that :-).

I still think San Marino can possibly show us the vast amount of talent it has in it’s 30,000 population sure it may be difficult compared to other countries but definitely not impossible. I don’t see it as a waste participation though I do agree that especially with some countries Andorra and Monaco it can be seen as a wast participation even though I still think every country adds something to the competition.

Also thanks 🙂

@Maltish, it was me, not Otna.

Ok, Luxemburg quitted after admiting they didn’t have enough population to present a national singer/songwriter. That means pointless participation for me… and for them.

Yeah, anyone can win with a decent song but this is obviously not San Marino’s case. Just look at their results over the years. I know Valentina is much appreciated among eurofans -god knows why- but for me she is just the PKN of the light song genre.

I love Malta’s entry this year btw

@Otna: Because anyone can win Eurovision if they have a great song. That’s why they keep trying. You do also realize that Luxemberg won the contest 5 times right? Look at Norway fro example they went from being in top 3 of 36 countries in 2009 ( Fairytale ) down to not qualifying two years later. What was the difference here? Obviously it was all because of the song.

Well i like San Marino’s song and im in the small minority of the eurofans that favor *Chain Of Light*.. I have now San Marino’s song 11th in my top ranking 4 the 2nd SF.. Well i do not think that Michelino with Anita have real chances of qualifying from the SF.. But who knows…Maybe they will manage to rise againist all odds & pass to the final surprisingly…We will see if they will hear their country’s name among the 10 lucky qualifiers.. 🙂 And i really hear in the lyrics Michelino singing chain of f@rt instead of heart! 😛… Read more »

Why this country keeps on trying? I guess they will eventually do like Andorra, Monaco and Luxemburg and realize their participation is totally pointless. Unless there’s something fishy here and they need to justify some expenses or something.

They are so amazing on stage! They can work it <3

So sad that they didn't come with a good song because they are so talented :/ Maybe next year or the year after Valentina-style!?
