William: During her second rehearsal Molly sounded and looked amazing, but it’s clear that she’s super nervous. That actually makes me like her act even more. In a field of super confident, diva-ish acts, Molly’s innocence and vulnerability gives her more appeal. It fits well with her song “Playing with Numbers”, which is a master class in fragility and vulnerability. As before her LED is striking and stirring. Producers have added few new camera angles, which swoop in more steeply, giving a better sense of the enormous stage.

I think Molly and Ireland might be the dark horse of the night
This entry will get huge jury backing
The song is simply beautiful
And simplicity always wins on top

How can u say she is a dour teenager CT?
Do u know her?
She is probably the most talented artist in the competition
Listen to her at the Vienna opera house concert singing live awesome
And let’s be frank about why she was selected to go there because she is talented and can sing
dour? U sound jealous!

The staging is just gorgeous (check out ht evideo at Eurovision.tv) but she is just a dour teenager sulking at the piano. No connection to camera or audience, she even keeps her eyes closed most of the time! Even the backing vocalists look depressed.

Ireland is not going to the final

@Robyn: The backing singers have the same expression as I do when I am listening to this. It is not exactly the most stimulating three minutes I am ever going to have…

@Aaron, that little look up when the camera sweeps around from the back is perfect. You can see the vulnerability, shyness and fragility in it. We’re definitely getting there with this staging. Glad I had the chance to see the background in full. I was afraid after the first rehearsal snippet that it was too still but it’s exactly what I wanted.

So proud of my act this year!

Sadly this song is way too good for Eurovision
And since it lacks boom bang a Lang ice skaters, 1980s hip hop
Bad singing, awful lyrics
And the general rubbish that will qualify Molly might strike lucky
Australia and UK can vote in semi final and huge votes will come Ireland’s way all the same

You must remember that the NED 2014 (for example) did absolutely nothing for you based on what you saw in the arena, but on TV it was magical. same could be said for the likes of Poland 2014 etc. You can’t judge one what you see on the clips online.

Wonderful song I have to say which is growing on my day by day.
I find himself singing it at work.
I love its simplicity and the deep meaning of the lyrics which others seem not to understand..
A beautifully crafted ballad -looks like Ireland has come back to Eurovision
And juries tend to appreciate quality songs.
Hope molly does well
It will encourage other young songwriters to take to the stage
And theres nothing bad about that.

Perhaps Eugene ESC UK you are clearly missing the point of this production?
What makes U such an expert?

Agree with William from wiwibloggs that the fragility and vulnerability in her voice makes her even more appealing. She’s going to get a good result I feel. This is a most authentic and sincere performance and the juries and voters will always pick up on that.

This song is a dark horse
Media frenzy
In old days of Eurovision there would be betting that it might win
On the night
Who knows
Wonderful song those who can’t hear it or see it have no place to comment against it or do not know English language well enough!

Well even if Ireland has beautiful backround & Molly delivers areally good live performance i really do not think that she will manage to qualify from th SF though..
I did not really like *Playing With Numbers*…Its almost my least liked song on the SF…16th ahead Portugal’s that its my least liked song on the 2nd SF..

@ Paul we love you too…NOT.. 😛
Well i truly believe that Malta will manage to qualify to the final & no its NOT overrated especially compared with how many others songs that are truly overrated..

I feel like she needs to look at the camera, not a lot, just sometimes. The vulnerability really works though, as William said.
