Fresh from his singing and hosting schedule at the European Games, Eurovision 2011 winner Eldar Gasimov has dropped a sizzling new video to accompany his latest release “Closer.” From woman-on-woman kissing to steamy shower scenes, this is Eldar as you have never seen him.
A mid-tempo pop number similar to his Eurovision winning number, it’s a  departure from his recent dance efforts, and it really looks within. As he explained to wiwibloggs in a recent phone call, Eldar wrote “Closer” to capture a moment in his life when love and pain felt inextricably tied.
“I was facing frustration every time I changed partners, because I was still in love with the lover that caused me too much pain,” he says. “I have come to understand that true love can break walls, but sometimes you can’t do everything to be with the one you love. That’s it. That was my inspiration. It’s always like that. Love is the greatest thing that we’ll ever have in our lives. Love is what makes me breathe and continue to perform on stage.”
Perhaps his steamiest video yet, “Closer” was directed by Ukrainian video director Alexei Lamakh. The music video serves as a reminder that Eldar can do sexy as he is courted by the sexiest chicks in the Land of Fire. Toward the end Eldar hots up in a shower scene. It’s a flash of naked brilliance. The girl-on-girl action conveys the universality of love.

I agree the song sounds very amateurish production wise but what makes it even less polished to me is his own vocal performance is so below what he actually did before. It seemed as if he can’t sing a single note properly. Very disappointing. Plus: I like his usage of the word “lover” in the interview … it just showcases mystery on what kind of love he is addressing to in his wheel of romantic experiences. Well the sound is very cheap. The video is bizarre. I loved Ell’s song “I’m free”, but this is totally awkward.

So you’re claiming they are gay? Fine. But you cant say that since you’ve purely based it of stereotypes. Just because they may act feminine proves nothing. Being gay has to do with your PHYSICAL biology. But they are still human so what does it matter?

It’s a catchy pop song, might do well as a summer radio hit. But maybe it’s a bit “manufactured” and less authentic if you know what I mean.

Well its pretty obvious to us that Eldar is homosexual.. Its up to him when he will decide to reveal in public that he is gay..
