Sanna Nielsen is the red hot favourite to host summer Swedish music show Allsång på Skansen when it returns in summer 2016.
Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet reports that Nielsen was selected to replace outgoing host Petra Marklund before she had even submitted her resignation. Ouch.
According to Aftonbladet, Sanna already looked like the host-in-waiting when she watched the show live on the 28th July.
It is believed that Nielsen’s experience presenting Melodifestivalen 2015 may have been the deciding factor in winning her the job. During Melfest in the spring she told us that she loved that gig.
Although there’s no official statement from SVT yet, last Tuesday SVT’s Director of Entertaiment, Thomas Hall, confirmed that the hunt for the next host was already underway.
Christer Bjorkman when asked for comment stated that Sanna was a “pro” and that he would, “love to see her host Allsång på Skansen.”
A decision from SVT is expected in the autumn.
Allsång på Skansen often features multiple stars from Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest.
Could Sanna host Eurovision AND Allsång på Skansen?
