Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet is reporting that two-time Melodifestivalen host Gina Dirawi has won the contract to present Melodifestivalen 2016 next spring.

Next year marks 15 years since SVT introduced the four semi-final, Andra Chansen and grand final format.

Their plan to celebrate? Feature guest hosts with a strong connection to Melodifestivalen for every stage of the competition.
Gina will act as host throughout all stages to provide viewers with continuity and a connection that they can “feel”.
So we can print our Gina Dirawi posters and flags out, right?
Woah there! There is a “?” in the title for a reason. Although Gina is highly topical, nothing is confirmed yet and it is no secret that hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in May is still on her bucket list.

No contracts are signed but informants have also revealed to Aftonbladet one name already in the sphere for guest host: Miss Sarah. Dawn. FINER.
We would love to see the dynamic duo back at it after their stellar run at Melodifestivalen 2012.

If we want Arab representation in Stockholm’s hosting, best get Gina as opposed to Eric. Besides Gina is hilarious and her Khadidje character would make people laugh more than Lynda Woodruff.

Gina is a politically correct choice.. anyone living in Sweden knows exactly what I mean. For me Gina is a good comedian but as a television presenter she is very scream-ish……

I think Måns will host ESC.. or Petra Mede will return……we will see
Let’s hope that she, along with the guest hosts, can pull this off in a good way towards the European audiences/the world. Some hosts from a given country do well in their respective country whereas they all just look formal or boring during the actual Eurovision contest. If they can do it like Petra or Stefan, go for it.

Of course I’d love to see them at Melodifestivalen but it’d be a thousand times better if they got to host Eurovision.

I guess that 4 hosts of the Stockholm's Globe Vision SVT will gonna chose Petra & Mans..
