The organisers of Eurovision in Concert, Europe’s biggest pre-Eurovision event, have just announced via their official Twitter account that Eurovision in Concert 2016 will take place on Satuday, April 9 in Amsterdam’s Melkweg. Tickets cost €35 and will go on sale on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 12:00 CET. More info can be found on the official Eurovision in Concert Facebook page.
The concert was first held back in 2009 and through the years it has become a massive hit — and something of a test run for Eurovision. In recent years at least half of all Eurovision acts have joined the lineup to sing their song (often it’s their first chance to perform their songs live in front of a large audience). Dutch Eurovision commentator Cornald Maas has hosted the majority of the shows, alongside a rotating Dutch woman who has a strong connection with Eurovision — such as Esther Hart, Ruth Jacott or Sandra Reemer. They all represented The Netherlands at least once at Eurovision. The team from wiwibloggs has traveled to Amsterdam for the last four editions and we have to tell you: It’s always hot!
The 8th edition of Eurovision in Concert will take place on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Melkweg Amsterdam! Tickets… https://t.co/CpxFtss8dX
