The final week of Melodifestivalen 2016 semi-finals kicked off today when SVT published the lyrics and the details of the upcoming performances. Last week we already heard 30-second clips of this week’s songs, but now we can dig in and see what their performances will look like in the Swedish metropolis of Gävle. Lolz, y’all.

Eclipse with “Runaways”
Memorable lyrics: “Running like a fugitive I’m far away from home, keep on running, got to get away, escaping from this life, the shattered walls”
According the lyrics, Eclipse desperately need a break. We hope they still have the energy to pull off this three-minute performance! Eclipse will bring a very generic rock show with the typical rock band set-up and lots of pyros. Rock on [tongue out, fingers up]!

Dolly Style with “Rollercoaster”
Memorable lyrics: “We’re on a roll roll roll, we’re on a, we’re on a rollercoaster, ooo oo, we’re on a rollercoaster”
Dolly Style will take us higher and to illustrate that, there will be lots of clouds. The dolls will also be joined by four dancers. Ten euros to anyone who can point out the original member.

Martin Stenmarck with “Du Tar Mig Tillbaks”
Memorable lyrics: “Oh you take me back to the first kiss when everything was on fire”
Martin Stenmarck will trust his charisma and use props sparingly. However, some of the camera shots will peer through cracked glass panels, adding major drama. Let’s hope he doesn’t scratch that beautiful face!

Linda Bengtzing with “Killer Girl”
Memorable lyrics: “You should kiss me, you should worship me, maybe spank me if I want to”
Linda will have a proper schlager entry — and a proper schlager show. Stairs, hot male dancers, pyros and of course a wind machine. Take me back to 2003!

Frans with “If I Were Sorry”
Memorable lyrics: “I’d hold my breath until my face turned blue, I’d rob a bank and the post office too”
Frans won’t have anything but a light wall on the stage — he’ll even hide his one backing vocalist. The colours will be blue and white.

Panetoz with “Håll Om Mig Hårt”
Memorable lyrics: “So if you do your thing nothing can stop you, call me Clark Kent, call you my Louis Lane”
The five members of Panetoz will stand on podiums as a cartoon plays on the LEDS screens. Vacuum cleaners will be on hand afterwards as there will be loads of confetti to end the performance with a bang.

Molly Sandén with “Youniverse”
Memorable lyrics: “We’re stars wrapped up in skin, the light comes from within”
Molly Sandén, the hot favourite to win Melodifestivalen 2016, will close the show. Molly will be joined by four female dancers and the audience will be warned that major strobes are coming.

I might be a bit too early with this question, but does anybody know how long the full show of andra chansen normally takes? It’s my sisters birthday that day but I really want to see andra chansen too :’) If it takes as long as a semi final (1,5 hour), I might be excused…
