IVETA MUKUCHYAN AT THE #WIWIJAM
Our thirteenth confirmed act has been the talk of the press centre since her breathtaking performance of her 2016 entry “LoveWave”. She’s the woman, the icon, the goddess — it’s Iveta Mukuchyan!
She rose to fame in 2009 when she participated in the Armenian version of Pop Idol, and her career has moved from strength to strength since then. In 2012 she entered The Voice of Germany, and the same year she won the title of “Sexiest Armenian” – an achievement fully supported by her win in our Eurovision’s Next Top Model Semi-Final.
Experimental songs are always divisive, but Iveta still managed to achieve a very respectable score with our Wiwi Jury. She left several of our jurors absolutely smitten. As one of our jurors wrote:
“This isn’t a LoveWave, it’s a LoveTsunami! Iveta works her smokey, powerhouse vocals to great effect, giving us a contemporary sound with flashes of rock goddess.”
In her first rehearsal on Wednesday she blew the other acts out of the water with her explosive stage presence.
Prepare yourself for the power that is Iveta as we #ComeTogether in the Hard Rock Cafe for our #wiwijam.
What a performance! I got horny. And she brought dynamics to the song. She sounded like Jackson in the Earth sing. I was looking for such voices but found none in this contest except for her. And her charisma turns me on.
Her lip injections are the second best thing on the earth after Lana Del Rey’s I guess. She sounds better live tho
Armenias song was good and at this point top 10. Note singers that wear clothes like this turn me of
Armenia, Bulgaria or Ukraine can became unexpected winner) Nice sound, not cheesy lyrics (except Armenia, it’s a bit cheesy), amazing instrumental parts, not bulky staging, music and music, *o*
Correction: “LoveWave” is her 2016, not 2015 entry.
Anyway, her voice and song slay and she deserves to be in the top 5.
