He gave us looks and glitter in the official music video, but we hadn’t heard him sing live yet. But that’s about to change. On Sunday 9 February, Spain’s Blas Cantó will perform his Eurovision 2020 entry “Universo” for the first time live.
Blas Cantó to sing “Universo” on Operación Triunfo
Blas will perform as one of two guests in the fourth Operación Triunfo 2020 gala. The other is Miki, who will be there to pass the baton. The “La venda” hitmaker seems pretty enthusiastic about the idea.

Despite the fact that Operación Triunfo is no longer used as Spain’s national selection, RTVE has considered it the best platform for the live debut of “Universo”. There had been buzz around this since the moment the contest began, but the broadcaster had previously remained coy about specific dates.
Miki will also perform during the night. It’s not clear yet whether he’ll sing “La venda” or another song from his debut album Amuza.
Non-stop promotion for “Universo”
Ever since the song was released, Blas has been promoting his entry all over Spain. He’s done lots of interviews and has been very active on social media.
“Universo” was released on 30 January, and as of 7 February, it’s about to clock on one million views on YouTube.
Blas delivered a bright music video shot in volcanic settings on the Canary Islands where he served a plethora of looks.
