Anis Don Demina Sweden Melodifestivalen 2020

We’re just hours out from the grand final of Melodifestivalen 2020. And judging from the latest chart figures, the people of Sweden have been living and breathing their national selection show all week. Sixteen Melfest entries are inside the country’s top 100 singles, six of which have made the top ten.

Of these, the highest-charting act is Anis don Demina with “Vem e som oss” at #3.

Melodifestivalen 2020 in the charts

After initially entering the chart at #19 two weeks ago, Anis has risen steadily. Last week he was at #5.

However, while impressive, this is the first time since 2017 that a Melfest act hasn’t occupied the number one slot before the final. In 2018 it was Felix Sandman and last year it was John Lundvik.

However, Dotter is hot on don Demina’s heels. After debuting at #14 last week, the “Bulletproof” songstress shoots up the charts to #4.

In doing so, she zips past Hanna Ferm. The “Brave” popstar is at #5, up from #9.

The Mamas are also on the move. John Lundvik’s former backing vocalists rise to #7 up from #23.

However, one of the biggest climbers is undoubtedly Paul Rey. He jumps a massive 24 places to land at #9.

The top ten is rounded out by Anna Bergendahl with “Kingdom Come”.

Andra Chansen eliminees Drängarna and finalist Robin Bengtsson bring the number of top 20 Melfest tracks to eight. “Piga och dräng” is at #11 while “Take A Chance” is at #20 — up 30 places on the previous chart.

Elsewhere, Victor Crone and “Troubled Waters” sits at #26 while Mendez and Alvaro Estrella are at #30 with “Vamos Amigos”.

You can check out the full chart positions of Melodifestivalen 2020 acts below. In addition to Drängarna, the countdown includes three more eliminated acts — Malou Prytz, William Stridh and Jakob Karlberg.

And after missing the cut last week, Mariette enters the top 100 at 73.

What is wrong with the male host? He seemed like he was about to cry before and is generally giving off “I don’t want to be here” vibe.

She’s just awful, pitchy and depressing. The song is poorly executed and the staging is limp….a bit flashy boobarella! At least Robin Bengtsons song ios aspirational. Mamas all the way for me!

Here’s how I think each act would do at ESC:
– Dotter between #1 and #4
– Anna between #4 and #8
– The Mamas between #4 and #8
– Hanna between #6 and #10
– Robin between #6 and #10
– Felix between #8 and #12
– Mariette between #10 and #14
– Paul between #10 and #14
– Victor between #12 and #16
– Mohombi between #14 and #18
– Mendez between #22 and #26
– Don demina – non qualifier

Digilistan or Spotify is more accurate for Sweden and successes. But still good information!

Go ANIS!!
Sure… It might have been a few years since we last sent a female act. BUT, it’s been more than Two decades since we last sent a song in Swedish.

Swedish people really dont get Eurovision. It’s a good thing you’ve been having some very clever and professional people running the whole thing for years cause we’ll be having too much trash being sent

His song has the same instrumental as Maklemore. Is it just me that thinks this?

Dotters song sounds like a Sia song
Anna sounds like a Smith and tell song
Paul sounds like a Sam Smith song
Victor sounds like a Avicii song…etc

Bulgaria sounds like Billie eilish song
Austria sounds like Benjamin / Justin Timberlake
Germany sounds like a Justin Bieber song

I’m not angry about it. All I’m saying is that singers and songwriters get inspired wether you like it or not all songs will remind of another song.

It’s mildly close, but the eurofans are always incredibly overzealous with the comparisons to other songs. There are some very clear differences and if you listen to the songs side by side you can really hear them start to stand out.

They are way more than “mildly close”. Yeah the ESC fans are jumping on the plagiarism train very quickly but on this one it’s pretty justified.

Anis will rightfully be trashed by international juries, I’m still bitter he beat Surface in AC last week! “Busy Doin’ Nothin” “As I Lay Me Down” & “Every Single Day” were also the highest charting Mello entries on the eve of finalen and still didn’t win, SverigeTopplistan is only a mere taster to predictions, anyway… BULLETPROOF FOR THE WIN! Dotterdam here we come! Vote song 007 my lovely Swedes

Last night I dreamed that Dotter was winning melfest, with the Mamas at #2, Anna at #3, Anis at #4 and Mariette (lol) at #5. We’ll see!
