Eurovision 2021 Second Rehearsal Schedule Day 8 (May 15)
Photos: EBU / Thomas Hannes / Andres Putting

Day eight! We’re into week two of Eurovision 2021 rehearsals, and it’s time for more acts to take the stage for their second run-throughs.

Today, we’ll see the second rehearsals from the six automatic qualifiers. The Big Five — that’s France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom — as well as this year’s host country The Netherlands will all get another chance to perfect their performances in time for next week’s full dress rehearsals.

We’ll be bringing you coverage all day, keeping you updated about today’s staging switch-ups, costume changes and more.

May 15: Second rehearsals at Eurovision 2021

Here’s who will be taking to the Rotterdam Ahoy stage today. All times are listed in CEST (BST + 1).

  • 10:30 – 10:50 Italy: Måneskin — “Zitti E Buoni”
  • 10:55 – 11:15 Germany: Jendrik — “I Don’t Feel Hate”
  • 11:20 – 11:40 The Netherlands: Jeangu Macrooy — “Birth of a New Age”
  • 11:45 – 12:05 France: Barbara Pravi — “Voilà”
  • 12:10 – 12:30 United Kingdom: James Newman — “Embers”
  • 12:35 – 12:55 Spain: Blas Cantó — “Voy a quedarme”

As always, we’ll have review posts for each rehearsal here on wiwibloggs — though for second rehearsals, we’ll be grouping acts together in groups of two and three. You’ll be able to read our thoughts on the rehearsals and see which countries decided to change up their staging.

And of course, our team on the ground in Rotterdam will be live streaming reactions to the second rehearsals over on wiwi.tv. Make sure you’re subscribed and keeping an eye on our YouTube channel!

Eurovision 2021: Press conferences

Shortly after their rehearsals, each act will attend a 20-minute press conference. Things will look a little different this year with social distancing in place. But we’ll still be on hand to ask the stars some questions from a safe distance and to get their thoughts on the rehearsal.

Here’s the list of times for each act’s press conference. All times are listed in CEST (BST + 1).

  • 12:15 – 12:35 Italy: Måneskin — “Zitti E Buoni”
  • 12:40 – 13:00 Germany: Jendrik — “I Don’t Feel Hate”
  • 13:05 – 13:25 The Netherlands: Jeangu Macrooy — “Birth of a New Age”
  • 13:30 – 13:50 France: Barbara Pravi — “Voilà”
  • 13:55 – 14:15 United Kingdom: James Newman — “Embers”
  • 14:20 – 14:40 Spain: Blas Cantó — “Voy a quedarme”

ITALY For the WIN !!!

So France are favourite to win, I reckon it will top the jury vote, but come second or third in the televote. My prediction for the top 3. France – I think it will top the jury vote, but it will need to come at least second in the televote to win. As I think Bulgaria and Italy have the potential of beating them in the televote. Bulgaria – I think it will come 2/3 in the jury vote, and it will also come 2/3 in the televote. It could be a winner. Italy – I think Italy won’t do… Read more »

I hope that Germany manages to pull-off a mid-table result. Nobody thinks this is competing to win, or even to finish in top ten, but a good 11th-16th position for Jendrik would make me happy! I mean, speaking of fun songs, Say Na Na Na managed to pull-off 19th place, and Jendrik is a stronger vocalist with an equal charisma. Good luck!

I have no idea why they are popular ; they seem like a bunch of student anarchists doing a parody of 1970s Glam Rock

How is that is very early in the morning, there are only 3 comments, two of which have 0 likes, and you have 130 likes?
What’s this sorcery?

Ps. It’s too early, and too exaggerated in numbers (since it seems that not many people came here) to be believable.

Now your likes are 36. Still not believable…

Now his likes are at – 3.
I don’t know if it was a glitch or something else, but he was at 130 likes earlier. I found it strange and commented about it, and little by little his likes went away.

Probably a glitch or a software bug, or maybe it’s because of the traffic around here since Eurovision is just upon us. No worries!

That’s not nice. For 70s Glam Rock bands. There was a time, if Great Britain had lined up Queen or Sweet, we would all have come home empty-handed.

Hasn’t it always been drawn after the 2nd rehearsals? I thought it was today too, I guess we’ll just need to wait and see.
