The first semi-final of Lithuania’s Pabandom iš Naujo! 2022 was filmed on Monday 24 January. But it’s only now, five days later, that the public will have their say and help decide which four acts should qualify to the grand final.
In the interim, we asked you to vote for the participants that you wanted to qualify through semi-final one.
A total of 2,196 votes were cast and the result came down to the wire – only two votes separate first and second place!
Now, we’re ready to reveal the result.
Gebrasy wins our Pabandom iš Naujo! 2022 semi-final one poll
Picking up first place in the poll is Gebrasy. The runner-up of last year’s national final, he’s hoping to take home the gold this time around.
Gebrasy certainly has your backing to make it to the Pabandom iš Naujo! grand final once again with his song “Into Your Arms”. The Lithuanian singer picked up 527 votes, which is 24% of all those cast.
Only two votes behind is Lolita Zero. The iconic drag queen was just pipped into second place, picking up 525 votes (23.91% of the total). Lolita Zero is singing “Not Your Mother” in this year’s competition and it’s a song that many of y’all want to see in the grand final on 12 February.
A little further behind in third place are Queens of Roses, who received 297 votes (13.52%). The trio are spinning like a “Washing Machine” in Pabandom iš Naujo! 2022 and they’ll be aiming to wash up the competition in semi-final one.
If the results were up to you, the final qualification spot would go to Erica Jennings. A former member of Lithuania’s Eurovision 2001 group Skamp, Erica is still keen to get back to the contest as a solo artist. Her song “Back To Myself” earned 232 votes (12.56%) in the poll.

So happy for Juste. Lolita and Gebrasy were pretty predictable and I am very sorry Joseph June finished 5th behind the Queens of Roses. Oh well, 3 out of 4. 🙂
Comments of Lithuanian Jurors will be available on this page: pabandomisnaujo. lt/lithuania-semi-final-1/
I have tried to Follow that link, but it isn’t working for me.
You mean it does not work for you, even the main page:pabandomisnaujo(dot)lt?
It works fine. You have to delete the space before .lt
I finally got it to work. I think I kept deleting the wrong space. Thank you so much!
By the way, amazing website. I need to bookmark it.
I found an article out of your vision you say that detailed that somebody ask actually made changes for the semifinal one performances. Some of them were more improve in the vocals, but Erica Jennings and Queen of roses have dropped their dancers. I think emilijana and juste Have done a little costume changes.
For PiN, all performances improve from heats, to semifinals, to grand final. Watch Ruta Loop and Moniqué performances in 2020.
That makes sense. The more you perform, the better you get. I wanna see how these 9 performers improve from their heats.
The top four in the spot I’ll probably the most likely qualifiers from today semifinal. Let’s see if this poll Will turn out to be accurate.
Update, three out of the top four in this poll qualified. Erica Jennings Actually didn’t qualify, so it’s juste who’s in the final.
Lolita is the only one interesting act in this heat, sorry.
The semifinal allocations are really unbalanced for this selection. Next week is going to be a bloodbath
Why are people so infatuated with Lolita Zero? The song is good but the performance was so bad. Why wear such high platforms if you can’t even stand in them? I kept expecting them to fall down whenever they moved their arms. It’s obvious they weren’t comfortable and lacked balance. And the vocals were not anything to write home about either.
Also (less important) -that chest piece is way too small.
They will improve i’m sure, i bet today performance will be more polished
The song is good? Like you really found a song among this useless mumbling? Lets say it as it is, it’s a drag queen that brought an over extravagant costume but forgot to bring anything else. Eurovision is not a costume show, there’s supposed to me at least a little bit of actual music and singing involved.
I liked the instrumental enough to be able to tune out the words. It kinda has a Neon Demon vibe to me.
just bc it doesn’t sound like a standard eurovision power ballad doesnt mean the song is bad. also, yall expect ppl to bend notes like adele or something and act as if it’s invalid to be an artist if you dare to use your voice in different styles or sing using different techniques (like i saw for example so many eurofans hating on luna ki after withdrawing from benidorm). why does everything need to fit in a specific standard, especially music and especially at eurovision? not your mother timidly references underground, techno, queer culture and is not as shallow as… Read more »
Are “they/them” Lolita’s pronouns? From what I know, Zero goes with “he/his” in ordinary life and “she/her” on stage. Am I wrong?
No specific pronouns, Gytis (the actor) is not trans, Lolita is just a drag persona.
No idea. But I think it’s respectful to use neutral pronouns whenever you’re not sure. Maybe I’m too woke…
Because we see the potential. They can learn how to move in those platforms till May.
I don’t get it either. To me, it feels like a surefire way to knock Lithuania out of the finals. I’m already worried enough about Lithuania qualifying this year based on its semifinal allocation, so I hope Lithuania makes the best choice with what they’ve got.
This list is 100% how I imagine it in my mind, so I hope it will stay like this also after the show tonight.
If Lolita Zero gets chosen to represent Lithuania I can see them pulling a Michel Szpak in the voting (bottom with juries but near the highest televote score)
The performance was rather lacking and drag queens don’t impress anyone anymore. I highly doubt she will score well with televote.
