Tomorrow evening the first semi-final of Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2024 gets underway from Oslo, where six songs battle it out for three qualifying places to the grand final 3 February.

We asked you readers to vote, who you wanted to qualify. And now, the results are in.

Margaret Berger a favourite to qualify

You do like the Eurovision alumnis out there, because Margaret Berger with her song “Oblivion” was the clear winner in this poll with 544 votes – that’s 38.80% of the total votes cast.

The two other qualifiers in your opinion should be Ingrid Jasmin with “Eya”, who got 301 votes or 21.47% of the total votes, and GOTHMINISTER with “We Come Alive”, who got 239 votes or 17.05%.

Compared to the winner’s poll our readers are aligned with the Norwegians, because it’s the same three songs they want to see going through to the grand final.

Where is the best to watch this since there are always many restrictions in NRK?

Wait but.. Margaret Berger don’t want to be in ESC because of Israel… so why all of you want her to win?? if she wins Norway won’t be in ESC 2024. Or maybe she is a liar and still compete in ESC 2024 even tho she said that she won’t hahahaha

Margaret Berger should landslide tonight. I guess that Eya might be the second-best choice, but if someone else executes it better, then so be it.

Whatever the end result will be, I wish everyone Good luck tomorrow. we’ll see if these three artists will be the three finalists. But I hope they don’t tell the nonqualified artists to their faces that they didn’t qualify. That I felt was unnecessarily cruel last year.

I’ve got Gothminister as my #2 overall in Norway; it’s got a really great hook. I enjoy “Oblivion” too. My third pick is wait-and-see– probably “Stranded” or “Eya.”

Oblivion and Eya are my favorites too! I like Stranded and Woman Show too honestly. We Come Alive isn’t bad but it reminds me so much of Blood and Glitter somehow. Heart on Fire is pretty bland.
