The dust has settled on a weekend of Eurovision selections. And that means we can now more clearly see and hear the winners from Malta, Norway, Spain and Ukraine.

The new arrivals — Sarah Bonnici, Gåte, Nebulossa and Jerry Heil & alyona alyona — take us to 10 songs in total. So we just have to ask: What’s your favourite Eurovision 2024 song so far

Last week — when we had just six acts — Ireland’s Bambie Thug debuted in our poll at #1. Can they stay on top? It’s up to you to decide. You can vote for as many countries as you’d like, but you can only vote ONE time. So make it count. Be sure to click the box next to each country you want to support before pressing submit.

What’s your favourite Eurovision 2024 song so far? (Feb 4)

From Austria:
1) Ireland, very special
2)Ukraine
3) France
4) Slovenia’s Raiven
5) Spain (catchy, but thin voice)
6)Czechia (Studio, I hope, singing live will improve, NF Performance was bad!)
7) Luxemburg (classic ESC)
8) Norway
9) Albania
10) copy-and-paste-thin-voiced Malta

Well if history has taught is anything, there will be a big gay baiting song coming in which the wiwibloggers will wet themselves about (likely from the UK this year). They will wildly overhype it (like they did with Je Me Casse). They will be z clicking and “you go girlfriend” like crazy. Then reality will kick in. Sweden will score strongly with the juries whatever they put in. A fun song will win the televote but will be so far behind from the juries that it only comes fifth. Plus this year, the whole contest will be overshadowed by… Read more »

Mon Amour is the best song France has sent in years. For once they aren’t trying to cling to a dying fad or feeding into stereotypes.

So, obviously, it has no chance of winning.

My favourite song is by Ukraine, super catchy song. Followed by Slovenia, do love me sone pop/ethnic witchy vibes. Norway is alright, a bit too screamy for my likeness but I reckon it will do good in the show. Czechia, despite the bad vocals in the live performance I feel like it’s a nice song. Luxembourg is also nice, not a bad entry for their first year back at the show. Ireland has an interesting proposition and I feel the staging id what will make it or break it. Malta is fine I feel like she will definitely give us… Read more »

Bambie Thug’s performance live on a real stage will mesmerise fans and people will want to vote the entry above other entries. There will be those who don’t like it and that is fine as you can’t downvote and if anything that will just encourage fans of Bambie to vote more. Bambie already has proved somewhat polarising in Ireland but they have managed to win more and more fans with their infectious positivity and charisma.

It’s crap. And the vibe they are going for was done 100 times better by Finland last year. In an ordinary year I would doubt it reaching the final but as their are fewer entries this year and the standard has taken a nosedive, it’ll scrape in

Currently, the only song that I have on my Eurovision playlist (from the selected songs) is ‘Ulveham’. For me head and shoulders above anything else so far.
Raiven is my number 2.

Not really bothered about the others as i feel we lost a lot of the better songs in their respective national semi final/finals.

Very poor year so far, I don’t like any of the songs selected. Czechia is proberly the best of a bad bunch. Jerry heill deserves her place at Eurovision though as she is a amazing singer but would of preferred something more upbeat like vegan ?
Not sure what possessed Norway to pick the song they have over keiino, it’s very antiquated and will die on stage.
Hopefully the remaining countries left to pick their songs will send something better, but at the moment if croatia pick baby lasagna then it’s gonna steamroll everything else that’s around at the moment.

It’s important to separate Ukraine’s impressive Eurovision record from the ongoing war. Their consistent success, culminating in being the only country to qualify for the finals every year since 2004, reflects years of exceptional talent and dedication. Even amidst hardship, Ukraine’s unwavering spirit and artistic prowess shine through on the Eurovision stage, and deserves recognition on its own merit.

That is some nonsense there. Only because it’s pop you think it could be an entry from Sweden or Cyprus? Don’t you hear the melody and harmonies used in MELOVIN’s song? You can clearly feel the signature of an Eastern European country. A song like this could never be sent from a Northern European, Western or Mediterranean country.
See, this is the reason why I hate when people say that pop is a swedish thing. No, absolutely not. Pop is everywhere and is not necesseraly the same.

That being said, Jerry Heil and Alyona alyona were my favorites.

Ukraine sends great entries too, and more unique ones compared to Sweden. Of course, the war boosts their televote scores, but those songs would do well either way. I think Stefania would have won the televote even if there was no war in Ukraine, maybe the lead wouldn’t be as big though, and the jury score would probably be lower

The uk are in the top five not because they are in the big 5 but because they have one of the top 100 global selling artists over the past decade representing them. Italy are in the top five as the san remo festival has some of italys best singers competing in it. But I agree with the rest you mentioned and it is pretty sad. We have not the official version neither the official music video, and Slimane was seen in his last concert singing a new version of Mon Amour, the beginning is the same, some beats have been added it seems in the second verses until the bridge and just after the bridge all is changed, arabic sounds, falsettos, tonality and a big note at the end. It feels more epic I don’t know what Slimane will do but I like this new version too.
