National final season has come to an end and we now have 22 winners who will move on to compete at Eurovision 2024. However, many of the other entries that didn’t make it will remain on our playlists for some time. To celebrate these acts, it’s time for our countdown of Team Wiwi’s Top 50 national final songs of Eurovision 2024.
The team here at wiwibloggs have voted for their favourite songs that competed in the national finals for Eurovision 2024 but were not selected. Over 130 of this year’s songs received points from at least one of our jurors. Now we’re ready to share which of them made it into our Top 50. We’ll reveal ten tracks each day until we reach the winner.
Note this is not an objective list, but is determined by the personal votes of a panel of wiwibloggers. We encourage you to share your own personal favourites in the comments below.
Let the countdown continue!

Five of these on my list. 3-4 of the others just missed the cut and would’ve made a top 75 for sure, too.
“For Dig” we’ve talked about already and you know what I like about it and where it falls short for me. So no issues here!

A lot of similarities again. Four of these were already featured on my list, one is about where it is to me too, and four are about to featured higher on my list. The 10th is song is also a song I like.
I remember when these posts used to get hundreds of comments.
You guys ranked “Dos Extraños” too low!
Wild West by Bashar Murad should be at Number 1, not 33.
Shouldn’t even be top 50 tbf
Let’s move on with my places 40 to 31: 31. Norvège Gothminister We Come Alive 32. Italie Dargen d’Amico Onda Alta 33. Italie Negramaro Ricominciamo Tutto 34. Albanie Elsa Lila Mars 35. I loved Carpetman too (he was probably my last cut), so I’m glad to see him on your list.
40. Vinko – “Lying Eyes” (Croatia) – Stripped-down and soulful, this reminded me a lot of 00s singer-songwriter Pete Yorn. It walks a tightrope, always threatening to tip over into too-much, but keeps its balance. 39. Clara Klingenstrom – “Aldrig mer” (Sweden) – Post-U2 arena pop buoyed by clarity and sincerity. 38. Blankiflur – “Love You” (Iceland) – Better “I Feed You My Love” vibes than Margaret herself brought this year. 37. Ryk – “Oh Boy” (Germany) – Oh boy, Germany. You had jury points there for the taking with this towering song and sparkling voice. I hope your river… Read more »
I firmly believe/hope Vestules will be in Wiwi’s ranking. Do not disappoint us, for the love of good taste!
Hear us, Wiwi. The people demand Vestules!
Really strong series of ten here for me. Seven of them are actually in or around my top fifty (including my winner)!
The only one I didn’t like was Red Flag Parade. But even then, it’s much better than what Czechia actually ended up sending to Eurovision.
I did see your last couple of YouTube lists. I may have put the slightest feeler on how my overall #1 would be received on a comment to one of them. I love “Pedestal,” so even if things are reasonably congruent now, there are disagreements to come 🙂
Nice picks, Zanoni! We share quite a lot of these. Bashar is my winner of Songvakeppnin, Elly is my winner of ESCZ, Ryk is my winner of the German selection. Vinko, April, and Zorja will be featured later on for me. I like the rest of these too.
Thanks, Dom. I’m not sure how all the songs with emotional fireworks you can see from space ended up in this set, but here we are. 🙂
Let’s see.
Basically all of Italy including the winner
Norway: Margaret Berger but Norway chose the best.
Finland: Vox populi but Finland chose well.
Iceland: Vaeb but Iceland chose as best as they could.
Denmark: nobody
Sweden: nobody
Ukraine: Yagody
Serbia: Breskvica but ok choice
Spain: Remitente but ok choice
San Marino: Polar bear and Loredana
Luxembourg: Krick
Germany: Leona
Croatia: Pavel
Estonia: Oblivion
I didn’t bother with Moldova and Malta, so I can’t be entirely sure, but I don’t think any country screwed up bigly this year. Ireland chose their only decent entry, Latvia and Lithuania their only hope, the one country that loves to lose is probably Germany. Well, Albania screwed up too. And to a lesser extent Luxembourg.
Breskvica lol of course you go for the one song that has very strong nationalistic and gen0cide apologetic undertones
st pedro should be higher imo
Muuuuch higher
To see his song in this company and being in 40-31 top is a crime , my eyes are bleeding.
It’s a complete nothing song in my opinion. Handsome man with a good voice but a weak song.
Are we even talking about the same song?
YESSSS KUORI MUA
I see a sneak
“Vox Populi” and “Unga & Fria” were equally my winners in both Finland and Sweden. :'(
31. Almacor – Brillos Platino (Spain)
32. Marcela – Gasoline (Croatia)
33. Sofia Coll – Here to Stay (Spain)
34. La Rua – Governo del cuoro (San Marino)
35. Rita Onofre – Criatura (Portugal)
36. Maria Sur – When I’m Gone (Sweden)
37. Sasha Bognibov – Married to Twins (Moldova)
38. C-Joe – Ahumma (Sweden)
39. Mileo – You’re Mine (Norway)
40. Hristina – Bedem (Serbia)
OMG, you picked Sasha again. FWIW, I didn’t have the guts to put “Married to Twins” on my list, but it’s pretty funny and I’ve listened to it more than I’d like to admit. Mileo’s on my list; Hristina was one of those very last cuts and definitely deserves the love.
Great memory! Sasha’s indie rock vibes are in my sweet spot. I don’t like the instrumentation as much as I did last year but it’s still solidly done. The main reason he gets in my top 50 this year is the comedy. I can only assume that it is done deliberately, the lines are clever and delivered in such a deadpan way that I think he is a comic genius.
I guess I do have a slight qualm that maybe he’s neurodivergent and I really shouldn’t be laughing at him, but that’s more of a feeling than anything I can prove.
Alright, regarding my memory, this is weird, but after the 2023 season (the first one I had ever followed), I explored the previous NF seasons in the summer by making huge playlists of every song that regular Wiwi commenters put in their top 50 lists. At times I would listen to songs and think “OMG, that’s such a Colin song” or “Oh Kosey, you rascal” and so on. You guys have shaped my NF tastes in a really weird way.
I had your no. 40 and no. 39 but then, we’re a little bit further apart.
Although Sasha’s song was still really awful, it was probably his least awful effort to date. He might not actually be in the bottom five of NF songs this time around, so an improvement I guess?
I liked C-Joe’s song and La Rua was a particularly good studio cut.
I did not like Gasoline, Here To Stay or When I’m Gone. So yeah, about half of these for me. ^^
Luis and Jonathan have THE taste ? #kuorimua
My favorits:
Ghali and Bashar Murad !!!
