YESSS ELODIE

Andromeda and Due were my winners on each year she entered, so I’m hoping for the same level of a hit, and for her name and reach to be respected enough by the juries now that she won’t get totally robbed outside of televotes.

Looking forward to Simone Cristicchi. As much as I love Sanremo, indeed some deeper renewal would be necessary. Starts to feel a bit like Melfest and Italy wouldn’t want that, would you?…

Seeing the names felt like a déjà-vu, but I’m confident that many of their songs are gonna make it to my playlist anyways 🙂
Based on the names alone, I’d like Elodie, Irama (especially if he brings something like 2021) or Noemi to win.
Honorable mention to Clara, The Kolors, Achille Lauro and Coma_Cose too!

The first SanRemo odds are out, Elodie is the frontrunner, with Giorgia not very far, Achille, Olly and Irama completing the top 5…, interesting. Also surprised to see Francesca and Francesco so low considering their good results in SanRemo when they competed. Italy does better in Eurovision when they bring powerful male ballads though but maybe this year they will try a powerful female ballad who knows…and if Elodie competed with this kind of ballads…at the end it could be Elodie vs Irama with powerful ballads…we’ll see. The thing is when Italy thinks out of the box and brings something… Read more »

Solely based on names, I would really like Noemi or Elodie to win. Their win is long overdue. For example, Noemi’s ‘Sono solo parole’ was winner material back in 2014.

Returning artists are free to participate, but I find it cooler when we have a participant that participates in Eurovision for the first time, like we saw with Angelina Mango.

It’s time for Achille Lauro to win it!

Same same same.. And hype around artists and not the songs long before the songs have been heard and performed. It’s even worse than Melodifestivalen.

Haha, what planet are you living on? It’s soooo much better than Melodifestivalen!

I want Elodie to win so hard. But at the same time Francesco, Francesca, The Kolors, Clara…so many regulars at my playlists.

Does the new artistic director make any difference to the vibe of the festival?

First impression is that what Carli Ponti is offering isn’t too different to what Amadeus gave us.

Sanremo is a liturgy, the scenography changes but the substance always remains the same.

The returning artists trend continues, a feeling of deja-vu in this list…
I will say the same as I said for Sweden I’m not into returning artists who already won the competition and/or who already went to Eurovision and I say that with Mrs Michielin in the line-up being my fav esc italian act ever.
My guess is as Italy went for a female uptempo pop song last year, they will probably go for a powerful male ballad this time, Irama has his chance.

The returning artist trend has been continuing since 1951!

Some years more than others, and for 2025 we have already a lot of them and it’s only the beginning.

It would be finally time for an Irama victory! Wondering if he is gonna participate with a ballad again like in 2022 and 2024 (both times my Sanremo winner) or something different

My personal preference would be something like 2021. That really is an all-time classic. 2022 and 2024 were great too, of course. I hope Dardust is involved!

I really hope he comes up with something like 2021 too! His ballads were nice, but LGDTC was something else (in the best sense of the word)

If Sweden uses same songwriters year to year, Italy uses only same artists. Feels like almost everyone has competed very often.

Sanremo isn’t just about competition—it’s the stage for Italian artists to drop their latest hits. Of course, the same big names show up again—it’s like the Grammys, but with way more drama and better food!

It would be ridiculous to hold a music contest, and then not allow the most talented musicians to actually enter.

Many Italian artists are using the San Remo as a chance to launch their new album.

“only same artists” literally 2/3 of the cast is made of newcomers or singers who went just once to Sanremo. You don’t even know what you’re talking about, yet you talk about it
