I quite like this song. The only thing is the female vocal was a bit off key but this song could really work with some tinkering between now and May

Just listened to this and Elvana’s entry. I certainly prefer Zjerm as it’s way more creative and interesting. It will need to grow on me more but it certainly didn’t leave me indifferent. It is risky for the contest though that’s for sure.

Elvana’s song is a classic lifeless official World Cup wannabe plastic dance bop. Nothing new to offer to the table.

Would rather have seen Rea Nuhu win, but Shkodra Elektronike at least isn’t yet another club/rave dance track. They’ll stand out stylistically and maybe have a better chance as a result. Best of luck to Beatriçe Gjergji and Kolë Laca.

Not bad but not good either imo. I mean there wasn’t a single song in this selection for which I could have vote in May so it doesn’t change anything to me. At least they go for something a bit different but the chorus is just too much for me. It’s a bit of a mess.

I really don’t understand why this is downvoted. People critisize Elvana Fans for not accepting the winners, but don’t accept when someone says they don’t like the song. Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

While I understand people that like the song, I personly don’t like it that much either.

I don’t know if the trafficing allegations about Elvana are true, but if they are, I’m glad she didn’t win. The song wasn’t that special either, Me Tana was much better. Just calm down people, It’s just a competition, not the Hunger Games.

Congratulations. Great song.
To all the crying fans: Just accept it won. It won’t change. To all the negative persons: We don’t know if it will qualify before May.
Again: Just accept it won.
May 2025 be the year, where the childish fans grow up, and stop crying everytime their favourite doesn’t win. Believe me. It will happen again, that your favourite will come 2nd or 3rd.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Well said Tony about the childish fans!
I am a big fan of Elvana but Skodra Elektronike deserved to win at least as much her if not more.
Elvana’s song was good but less than other song of hers and a bit kitchy, while Zjerm was authentic, original and a perfect mix of traditional and modern.

This portal was pushing elvana so much, and now when we have another winner there is a huge amount of hate toward the winners. This is what wiwbloggs do wrong, they have favourites but they shall be independent in their reporting.

You have to feel for Elvana a bit, a slick and perfectly choreographed act losing to a man basically just standing there on stage… but to be honest, the winning song is just better. It’s more interesting, and probably has a better chance at a Eurovision result because it’s more distinctive.

I’m sorry but if you think that Elvana’s staging was perfectly choreographed then you haven’t seen anything. What was it when she walked over the dancers. I’m sorry but besides the first 30 seconds her performance just wasn’t it.

No. Instead you have, again, to accept, your favourite didn’t win. That your favourite doesn’t win, doesn’t mean the contest is rigged. Maybe 2025 should be the year, where eurovision fans stop acting like small children, and just accept the results. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

OK, enough is enough. Stop the tantrums. This isn’t the first time that your favorite didn’t win a national final, and it will likely not be the last. This isn’t even the first time that Elvana Gjata came second to someone else.

GROW THE [BLEEP] UP!

I’m not saying you can’t feel sad and disappointed that your favorite didn’t win. I’ve been through that myself in some national finals, but I eventually get over it and move on. You’ve been through this before and you’ll be fine. I get incredibly sick of this every year around this time.

Yeah, it’s no good holding a grudge. True, there are times where I think another song would’ve been a better option for a country, but at the end of the day, what’s done is done. My approach this year and forward is to just keep an open mind and sit back and see what happens. Will there be times I will be very happy if my first choice wins? Yes, but the bigger strength of character is how to handle your disappointment. If my first choice happens to not win, I will feel that moment of disappointment, but then you… Read more »

I actually think they will qualify, but I really don’t see this doing better than 17th place in the grand final. This national selection just sucks and isn’t aligned with what Eurovision really needs. How is that not clear after so many mid results all these years?

I don’t know where Zjerm will place in the end, either the final or the semifinal, but it is something different than what they usually send so I think it’s a step in the right direction. It’s the type of risky entry that either can do really well or really poorly, but it’s something that I’m glad is going to Eurovision.

Ok so if the winner won both the televote and the jury then everyone should just accept and be happy that it won on both counts. I still think Karnival would’ve done better but don’t think it was the Eurovision winner some thought. And I don’t love when one country decides to bring a song that basically feels very similar in tone and vibe to another country—feels like it misses the point of Eurovision for people to bring their own culture especially if the singer has no ties to a Spanish-speaking country.

If there wasn’t any domestic televote, she still would’ve lost because she was second in both jury and domestic televote. At the very least, this is a fair result towards Zjerm.

Elvana stans are big mad that she didn’t win. Karnaval wasn’t it and she got far more than she deserved with 2nd Place. Also given her mafia fiance is guilty of human trafficing offences, Elvana had no business being at Eurovision. Don’t believe me, a Google Search will do you well.

Somewhat agree, however when you are a known entity like Elvana, any controversy that effects your nearest and dearest, it then makes you look worse by comparison. It makes her looking like she’s condoning it, irregardless of her knowledge of it.

I’m learning to not invest so much in one particular song and just be open minded to what happens in the end. Yes, I will have my personal winners, but I’m not gonna be completely upset if they don’t win. OK, I may feel a little disappointed, but ultimately in the end as long as it’s a fair result, I’ll accept it. In this case, I actually wanted zjerm to win, so I’m really happy for it.
