During the first heat of Melodifestivalen 2015, Molly Pettersson Hammar said she’d be fine when the flood is over — and she was right! After her controversial elimination, Miss Molly has kept the momentum going: she topped Swedish iTunes after her heat, and this week she has released her new single “Something Right”. It lives up to the title.
Molly builds on her sound from “I’ll Be Fine”, dropping a similarly catchy beat that shows off her earthy vocals. She gives us a flash of gospel and soul, while keeping this very much in the genre of accessible pop.
The music video shows Molly and her friends getting ready for a night out. Between Molly shoving a handful of cake into her mouth, using a lollipop as a microphone and dancing atop a party bus, we see her many sides — from sweet to sexy!
It’s a good follow-up — and perhaps an indicator of the style we can expect if she gives Melfest another go. Would you like that? Let us know below!
Molly will win Melodifestivalen one day
She had such really nice song in the Melodifestivalen…Was really odd unfair 4 her that not only she did not qualify straight to the final or to the adrna chansen but not finished in the top4…She just finished almost last as 6th from the 7 on her semifinal heat…Really bad 4 her.. She had one of the best songs of this edition of 2015 in MelFest.. Sh*t happens i guess…This kind of situation occurs a lot every year in how many NFs.. Hopefully she will be more lucky next time & will manage to get her ticket 4 the Finalen… Read more »
Molly is awesome, “I’ll be fine” was in fact my favourite song from this year’s MelFest after I’ve heard the full album quite a few times. I would love to see her come back next or a future year.
Such a cool video and awesome song! Molly is a great singer. I hope she comes back to Melfest soon. 🙂
Heja Molly!
Biggest injustice at MF evahhhh, come back <3
She was my favourite in Melodifestivalen 2015 and I was so shocked when she didn’t make it – so she must come back next year! She’s an amazing artist and I think she could even win Eurovision one year.
I caused such a fuss over her elimination on Melfest. This is such a bop. Her voice is so powerful and mature for someone so young. Honestly can she please go international or can Ireland steal her like Erika because I would be weeping

She MUST come back to melfest.
