Coco Chanel once advised ladies to look in their mirror before leaving the house and take something off. During her first rehearsal at Eurovision 2016 it became clear that Jamie-Lee Kriewitz does not subscribe to this “less is more” mantra. She appeared on stage looking like an expensive cupcake, replete with baby blue frosting and countless sprinkles in the form of glittering accessories and furry pom-poms. Channeling a harajuku school girl, she paired a thigh-skimming skirt with knee-high socks. Very naughty, but also nice if you’re into the harajuku schoolgirl look.

The staging is very Halloween. Spider webs, a menacing moon and smokey clouds create a haunting atmosphere that fits thematically with the song — a mid-tempo tribute to the fears and tears that come with a difficult breakup. The production features some interesting camera angles, including a slow pan from behind Jamie to the audience and pans from her feet upward. Given her rather short skirt, the latter might prove unintentionally salacious.

Before critics to someone look, look at yourself Chris.
This year the wiwi crew just want Sergey to win, following his fit body.
I hope you will have the same treatment in Moscow next year as all gay people there.
That’s it

Remember this website IS a blog. Not a journalistic-resource. A blog. It’s even in their website name.

Despite Germany’s high expectation this will end up among the last, as usual with Germany. There’s nothing there, just a little girl playing dress-up!

Jamie Lees song is not very strong and I don’t think she is going to do very well. Also I hope she doesn’t wear that outfit at the contest. It doesn’t go with the song. It’s very mismatched.

Really disrespectful …
You guys manage to find a nice headline for EVERY other participant but not for Germany or what? I feel pretty damn insulted tbh.

Despite wiwibloggs being bored and trolling around the rehearsals, there should be a time they get serious with the Barbara Dex Awards. There are lots of candidates this year and they know this well.

I like the chorus of the song, but the overall presentation I.e the anime is too distracting and doesn’t suit such a dark song. I hate to say it because after Sweden, Germany is usually one of my favourite Eurovision countries, but this year they are on the road to being a hot mess. Germany needs another Lena moment. Would love to see them win Eurovision and host the contest in Berlin or Hamburg, but sadly they won’t win this year.

Deniel:

The big difference is that Jamie-Lee looks very comfortable in her exotic outfit while Nina doesn’t in hers. To me that’s a difference between voting and nor voting for theses two.

They basically took her national finals staging, expanded it and made it brighter. If this wasn’t an automatic qualifiers,it might not be in the final. Looking like bottom of the standings again for Germany.

Nina’s dress is an unusual blend of metal (symbol of dangers that can harm you) and feathers (something soft and comforting – a Lighthouse). Sad you can’t get into the symbolics. Both Nina and Jamie are amazing

The song is playful and she is young, I see no problem with blue pinata at all. However Nina with her peacock costume…

They did the same with the Croatian entry yesterday. Their brains do not allow room for some avant-garde, different-angle fashion. By the way, in my opinion, Germany and Croatia are one of the loveliest songs in the competition. Bot got dissed for the fashion statement. Such an idiotic website.

Given this is the Eurovision SONG contest, this article contained absolutely no mention of how she SUNG. Instead you spent two paragraphs talking about her outfit.

Thanks for giving us all the important information.

OMG wiwibloggs you’re so unprofessional… You only judge people’s clothes , the Special effects, the LED screens… it’s not about that it’s about the atmopshere, the singing, the way the artist delivers his song…. WAKE UP!!! It’s not a BEST STAGE contest, it’s A SONG contest

Well.. that’s her Style. Like it or not. Get over it. Did you guys really expect that she would show up in Jeans?
So, you professional Bloggers of Europes biggest SONG Contest.. What about the rest of the rehearsal? What about her voice and all..? You’re so focused on making fun of her Dress that you didn’t write at least one sentence about her singing.
