It’s time to strap yourself in for yet another super Saturday! And while we have the same number of shows as last week, tonight is even bigger as half of them are grand finals. The four countries making their minds up are Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Meanwhile, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden and Romania continue with the preliminary stages of their competitions.
Before the night is out, we should have four new entries for Turin. Here are all the details you need for 2022’s sixth Saturday of national selections.
You can follow all the results on wiwibloggs (and via our Twitter: @wiwibloggs and Instagram: wiwibloggs) throughout the day. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s happening, when it’s on and how to watch.

However, tonight’s Vidbir final is still set to be quite the show. There are many big names among the eight finalists, including Wellboy and Alina Pash. Meanwhile, we can expect guest performances from Go_A, Jamala and Tina Karol.

🏆 Grand Final

But first we have the grand final to get through. Who will win the coveted Eesti Laul title and head to Eurovision 2022? There are four former Eurovision stars in the mix — Elina Nechayeva, Ott Lepland, Stig Rästa and Anna Sahlene. But Eesti Laul regular Stefan has all the buzz.

Semi-final five (Last Chance)
Time: 19:55 CET to 21:10 CET
We’ve had four regular semis and a second chance round on Monday. So tonight’s semi-final five really is the last chance to qualify for next week’s Melodi Grand Prix 2022 grand final in Norway. The returning eliminees are Kim Wigaard, Maria Mohn, Mari Bølla and Trollfest. As per usual, the quartet will be split into duels and one act will progress to the final. Sweden’s Melodifestivalen 2022
Heat one | Deltävling 2
Time: 20:00 CET to 21:30 CET
Last week’s season opener was memorable, although not always for the right reasons. Host Oscar Zia will be hoping for a quieter night tonight, without any voting app breakdowns. This heat boasts many familiar faces including LIAMOO, Lisa Ajax, Alvaro Estrella and John Lundvik. As always, two will go direct to the final and two more will get a second chance later in the series.

Romania’s Selecția Națională 2022
Live Semi-Final
Time: 20:00 CET to 23:00 CET
Romania’s Selecția Națională has returned back to a multi-act format for the first time since 2019. And organisers really went wild, taking the opportunity to send 45 acts through to the online stage. Over the past week, this number has been cut to just 20. Tonight’s live semi-final will see another cull.

Latvia’s Supernova 2022
🏆 Grand Final
Time: 20:05 CET to 22:10 CET
It started with an online wildcard vote back in January, followed by last week’s semi-final. And now Latvia’s Supernova 2022 is ready to draw to a close. Tonight’s grand final will see 11 acts sing it out, but only one will make it to Eurovision in Turin. Eurovision 2015’s Aminata is back, while newcomers Citi Zēni have also been generating a lot of interest with their vegan anthem “Eat Your Salad”. A total of 11 acts will compete tonight.

Slovenia’s EMA 2022
Semi-final one
Time: 20:20 CET to 21:40 CET
The process started all the way back in November with the early rounds of EMA Freš. But the end is near for Slovenia’s EMA 2022. However, before next week’s grand final, we still have the second semi-final to get through. Two-time runners-up BQL are possibly the biggest name in this evening’s lineup.

Which show will you watch? Let us know below.
You know what… I’ll gladly eat that salad! Congrats, guys!
So we have to eat our Salads. Ok…
lmao it was going so well…
Are they announcing everbody from last place to first in Latvia?
If that’s the case, just Aminata and Citi Zeni left…
It was the case and Citi Zeni won. Instead of meat, Turin will eat veggies and…
Imagine Elina Gluzunova wins. Then she and Monika Liu would have a serious mistaken identity problem 😀
Wow, The Roop are in Lithuania and in Latvia at the same time 😉
As Uku was in Estonia and Latvia at the same time. The Baltics have a teletransportation system. 😀
lol, fascinating
Winners’ encore performances are always fun to watch. Both Monika and Stefan are clearly over the moon while singing.
Monika and Stefan are both serious contenders for big spots on ESC. I am so happy that both Lithuania and Estonia are so strong this year!
Both countries picked competitive entries (Lithuania may even be my new number 1), as Ukraine also did. now it’s up to Latvia to don’t try anything crazy.
Thank you, Estonia, thank you so much!!! One of my favorite songs of this whole NF season is now on ESC! Wow, beyond happy!!! Congrats, Stefan! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Ukraine – What a beautiful song too. Heard it today for the first time. It feels so powerful! Congrats, Alina!!! 🙂 🙂
Yes Stefan won! My new first place in ESC 2022 so far!
Monika Liu won for Lithuania
Expected, but deserved win! Congrats, Monika! 🙂 🙂
I am so happy for the Lithuanian choice. Europe, start learning her name, the winner is MONIKA LIU with 24 points topping both, within the televote and the jury members!!!
Monika Liu has just won in Lithuania, Auguste 2nd, Lolita 3rd
My Top 3 in Lithuania:
Stefan won Eesti Laul!
No surprises in Lithuania. Monika Liu won both jury and televote.
Auguste 2nd, Lolita Zero 3rd, Ruta Loop 4th, Gebrasy 5th.
Where did the rest of the songs place?
I missed the first 3, because I changed to Estonia.
Stefan won 🙂 it ends well
Yes, my favorite song won tonight.
STEFAN WON OMG
My Top 3 in Latvia:
BUJANS gets my award for the “Gay Hymn of the Year”
My fave is kalush, Alina is too heavy for me, not my cup of tea.
pretty sure Stefan is safe. They were showing the percentages shortly before the voting ended. 62% for 1st, 6% for 3rd which I assume is minimal wind.
I don’t wanna imagine 62% for fire.
Alina. I thought I really liked this song, but my disappointment probably means not as much as I thought.
I think I know exactly what you’re feeling. It’s a respectable entry, it conveys a strong message, but the moment the spoken part kicks in, I lose connection to the song.
The spoken part really does hurt the song. It just bisects it unnaturally. It should be removed or changed.
Alina Pash won, but Kalush won the audience vote
Alina won Vidbir, was 2nd with the televote, behind Kalush.
Please Stefan win!!! And whatever you do please don’t pick Fire!!!!
Aminata is about to perform in Latvia.
loving the Koit interval act. It’s soothing after that horrible voting 😉
Rich Itch it’s just the best of this evening overall 😀
how is it possible that Ott gets less points from the ESTONIAN public than Sahlene? OK, Stefan is the last one breathing here, put that fire out
Estonia screamed “NO” to past winners. Just please don’t pick “Fire” now.
They screamed even louder no at jaagup. Last place is… I wanna say mean?
I have no idea what happened there. Estonia and I haven’t been in sync since “La Forza”.
Ok Stefan, Minimal Wind, and Elysa in the final. I mean Stefan should be the clear winner, although I still love What to make of this, Hope should and probably will win.
Edit: Ive noticed a trend within the past few years. 1 of the televote qualifiers always somehow comes 1st with the jury and ends up in the super final. Write about me in 2020, Time in 2021 and What to make of this in 2022. Pretty interesting. Proud to say i predicted this lol
At this point, it’s got to be Stefan unless the televote screws him over. What is the final ranking of the first round televote results anyway?
the top 3 ranking is not revealed until the show is finished
It’s EE 🙂
wow the public put Jaagup last. And Stig 2nd last. Taste regarding Stig. But who the hell votes for Sahlene?
Strange results indeed, now fingers crossed for Stefan in the Superfinal.
At least Sahlene is not in the Super final.
disappointed that jaagup was last, that was a winning performance
And his staging was really great as well. I guess it didn’t connect this time. Oh well.
Wow,I love Latvia ???
Nice, my favourite in Estonia is last after the jury votes, lol. FML.
some jurors really thought Elysa and Stig were the best at Eesti Laul lmao
In Ukraine, the jury put Alina 1st, Wellboy 2nd and Kalush 3rd.
Minimal Wind is doing pretty good with the juries. Interesting.
WHY ARE THE JURIES WAFFLING SO MUCH! GET TO THE POINT I STG (eesti laul)
I was wondering how the Romanian semi would last 4 hours (they don’t even have televote tonight), but it seems they’ll have looooong breaks after every group of 5 performances.
Time is just flying. Only 2 acts – Monika Liu and Auguste – have to show up in the selection final. It’s ending too soon! :/
Time flies. Soon you’ll have your representative. Who are you voting for?
S T E F A N
I wasn’t asking you. I was asking Devito. But Stefan is my favorite too. I hope he wins.
Oh, sorry to disturb u, my mistake
good lord. Most of these international jurors Estonia hired are a disaster.
Finally seems to be changing now!
sahlene is getting way too many points
3rd place with the juries. Like WTF. Glad Stefan is higher than her.
I was worried about his start into the jury votes, just glad he finished second and likely will be in the superfinal.
In the middle of the eesti laul jury voting and i cant believe my eyes. Wtf is happening rn
What’s going on?
The juries were completely screwing over the favourites. Jaagup is last atm and stig is getting a whole lot of points
The voting of the juries seems soo random. Tnank God STEFAN is first right now but the whole thing feels weird.
and not anymore…
Who’s voting for who?
International juries are voting a lot for Minimal Wind, Anna Sahlene and Stig for now. But STEFAN is also doing good.
Good enough for top three?
It is tight surely. Stefan seems like he is going to make it and Anna Sahlene perhaps as well. The estonian televote can change things though
Jury results:
Really? Minimal Wind won the jury vote? What do they see in that song? It feels like sabotage. What are the full jury results anyway?
…
4.Elysa
5.Ott
6.Black Velvet
7.Andrei&Grete
8.Stig
9.Jaagup
10.Elina
Thank you.
Stefaniaaaaa
John moved me to tears.
Maria Mohn gave an impressive performance once again but I couldn’t stop myself from voting three times for TrollfesT xD. Such an energetic and fun performance.
Just Estonian humor about things that concer us …
Alina was VERY emotional and Wellboy was VERY fun. I still prefer Kalush, but any of these 3 would be fine choices. Let’s see what’s the current mood in Ukraine.
I loved Kalush the most. Second Wellboy.
Would be my order too, but I wonder if in Ukraine’s current situation Alina’s song don’t strike even harder on them.
Does anyone know when approximately will the Eesti Laul top 3 be revealed?
The show continues on 20.30 with the voting part so my guess is we might know the top 3 around 21.00
Thanks!
21.45-22.00
I see. They have a huge gap between the songs and the results. Nevertheless since we’ve heard all songs it’s not that a big a problem to wait now.
Still pretty disappointed of Estonia’s selection this year, but I want Elina to win. The only song I like (and I was not a fan of La Forza)
My hope:
1 Ott and only Ott
2 Jaggup
3 Stefan
Although I feel Stefan deserves 2 after the performances.
I fear Stig will sneak into the top 3 so somebody of my favorites will miss out
I still want Jaagup to win, but I would be OK with Elina, Stefan, Ott or Andrei & Grete.
Who was the strongest performer for you?
Ott’s vocals were impressive, but all these 5 nailed their performances. And Minimal Wind was a nice surprise, the jury seems to agree. I haven’t watched Anna Sahlene and Black Velvet though.
