All eyes turn to the host nation of Eurovision 2025 — Switzerland. The country’s representative, Zoë Më, has now unveiled the entry she’ll be performing on home soil in May, titled “Voyage.”
The Basel-born singer delivers a soft and delicate French-language ballad.
Zoë Më – “Voyage” (Switzerland Eurovision 2025)
Speaking previously about the chance to perform at Eurovision, Zoë noted:
“Representing Switzerland at the ESC while we are hosting the contest is a huge honour and a surreal experience. I’m from Basel, and my grandparents live here. This is a full-circle moment, just like something out of a fairytale.”
At 1.80 metres tall, Zoë Më describes herself as a “little fairy” with a deep connection to two cultures.
She sings in both German and French, blending poetic pop with ‘chanson’. Born in Basel, she lived in Germany before moving with her family to Fribourg in 2009. She began writing her own songs at the age of 10, and her love for the French language soon began to shape her musicality; which she nurtured through school, friendships, and personal passion.
Her ability to bridge cultures through music has earned her widespread recognition. In 2024, she was awarded ‘SRF 3 Best Talent’ and ‘RTS Artiste Radar’. Her bilingual EP Dorienne Gris led to performances at prestigious festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival and Luzern Live.
What do you think of Zoë Më’s song for Eurovision? Can Switzerland do the double and win again? Let us know in the comments below.
Just beautiful! Hopefully it ends up left-side of the scoreboard.
And it follows the list of multiple-tempo entries this year: Finland, Austria, Czechia, UK, Ukraine…
This is the beauty of being a host country. You can send whatever you want without worrying about whether your song will qualify or not because you’re already in the final.
With that, I think this is the first time that all the Eurovision pre-qualifiers, the big five and the host country, are sending songs in their national languages. I admit I wish Switzerland was sending a song in German because Basel is a German speaking country, but like I said earlier, it’s great to hear so many countries sending songs to their national language this year, probably the most ever since the language rule was lifted in 1999. Once Cyprus, France, and Georgia release their songs by the end of this week, I will present my findings on languages at… Read more »
A decent song, but not a second win in a row bonne chance!
That’s probably the point. The host entry is usually weaker than the winning entry the year before because a country doesn’t wanna host twice in a row, But it’s still a good song, just not a winning song.
Classic and high quality. All good but it bores me.
Like an overused Rampant Rabbit™
Exquisite. Classical quality. Deserves a top10 placement, honestly.
Sweden, Finland, Israel and Austria are awesome
You mean the songs
I actually like this. Very classy. Well done.
It’s a nice chill song with a good instrumentation at the end, I was waiting for German in the song, it could have been cool. Her voice is so soothing, the MV is original. The host country will be well represented, congrats Switzerland, good luck!
Nice ballad, doesn’t do much for me to stand out. Decent entry for the host country though.
Nice song
It’s a shame that the Swiss general public is so uninterested towards the ESC. I wish we had the same excitement here like the Nordics. All of my friends who aren’t part of the ESC “bubble” don’t really care or have a negative opinion on it
Tell me about it ?
A good choice that can shine among all these joke songs.
Which jokes?, I don’t think there are many joke entries.
Ahhh what a lovely gentle ballad. This is a song i think will grow the more you listen to it. I like the… want of a better description the “tango break” two thirds through. It adds a lovely dimension to the structure of the song.
I love the song very much. Good luck with Voyage. Good choice.
Breathtaking song, I got goosebumps. This falls or stands with good staging though, so I’m excited to see their act, especially considering what Nemo did last year. Good on Switzerland to choose this slow pace song, knowing they don’t have to survive the juryless semi-final. They chose for quality and I love them for it.
Pleasant song but to be honest I think this is saved by host nation privilege because I don’t actually think this would qualify from a semi this year. I can barely remember it after listening to it twice even if it’s nice to listen to.
Pretty song for Switzerland, if juries push it a bit, it could score around 15th place in the final. Now excited to hear Cyprus tomorrow!
Well, it’s obvious. Switzerland wanted to send a decent song but with zero chances of winning. They don’t want to host ESC two years in a row.
Then they’re lucky I’m not in any jury.
That’s a very good song, artistic, well-produced, well-sung, more like the soundtrack of a movie.
Now, I don’t know if this is suitable for Eurovision or not, it’s certainly not televote-friendly. It’s up to the juries to decide if Switzerland will land right or left on the scoreboard.
Don’t get me wrong. The song is very high-quality. However, I find it a bit repetitive with no exciting climax. But I can’t ignore its artistic value.
Good luck Suisse / Schweiz / Svizzera / Svizra
„Televote-friendly“ has become a fetishism, from which we see the result in the many joke and trash entries this year.
As a Swiss, I’m so happy! This song is perfect as a host entry. There aren’t many ballads this year, so Zoë will stand out, and I hope she will not fall victim to the host country curse. I just want a decent result for this beautiful ballad.
It is an entry any country can be proud of! Such a piece of music has already achieved its mission by being brought into this world so that people can enjoy it, that is much more important then any “number of votes”.
With Zoe singing in French, it will be the first time since the introduction of the semifinals that all automatic qualifiers are singing in their national language.
that is so cool, as well as many countries having entries in different languages, more than english entries this year
also swedish for the first time since 1998
a fully latvian entry for the first time since 2004
the first israeli entry with french lyrics i think? not sure though
San Marino also singing in a national language of theirs (while last year was the first entry of theirs in spanish, which had a few italian lyrics)
This Swiss entry is quite a beautiful ballad I can get behind! I find a majority of ballads to be quite boring/stagnant but this one is quite lovely, not too slow and builds. I find the key change to be innovative and unexpected. Vocals are delicate yet powerful and hopefully will translate live. Juries will definitely find merit and hope the public can also feel the sincerity in their hearts.
Snoozefest. This year Switzerland has high chances of finishing last in the final, just how it happened with Portugal in 2018 or Israel in 2019…
Or Portugal in 2017
Portugal won in 2017
I thought she would sing some parts in Swiss German and Italian, but still the quality of this song really stands out this year as compare to a very low average. It fits perfectly the theme of the contest too (can imagine this being the background music for a Swiss landscape video recorded by drones). If performed correctly, juries will love it.
OH YES SWITZERLAND !!! I really like this one, so beautiful…Well chosen!!!
It’s so beautiful. Something Carla Bruni would sing… This song, your love one, a road trip on the south of France in a cabriolet car.
It’s a nice song, a tad forgettable though
The host nation can be proud of this quality song. It sounds sweet and dreamy, and I love that she’s singing in French.
You know that I KANT live without a banger, but this is simply beautiful.
Going straight to my playlist.
Very pretty song, will rank high with the juries. Maybe top10
Beautiful song and it reminds me of a French version of the Bulgarian entries from 2020 and 2021 by Victoria. Gentle, authentic and pure. No gimmicks at all and we need a song like this as well in the contest – a good host entry!
Well said. It reminds me a bit of Bulgaria’s Victoria, too. But it stands on its own merit.
Lovely and nice are probably the best words to describe it!
Normally that would be a bad thing but given a lot of the other entries this year, they might be useful adjectives on this occasion!
It’s okay .. middle of the pack
i love it its so beautiful
Lovely little song, but I was waiting for a big crescendo and it didn’t happen.
Song is entirely in French, not a single German word, which is a shame. Was hoping for bit of German or even Swiss dialect. But nevertheless, song is very nice and she has a beautiful voice. But sooo many ballads this year.
Most of them wont qualify to the final anyways ..and also it is good that those votes get spread as well…
It’s very sweet and charming. No real oomph, but maybe that’s the point
